The place was quite clean, and the service was excellent. Laundry is super affordable at 200 yen, significantly cheaper than other hostels which typically charge 300-500 yen. They also have a dryer, so rainy days aren't an issue. The only drawback is that it's a wooden, detached house (not reinforced concrete), so the sound insulation isn't the best. Guests need to be mindful of their footsteps; walking heavily could lead to thumping noises audible downstairs, potentially causing complaints. Furthermore, showering is generally not permitted after midnight, as the sound of running water can disturb those on lower floors. Also, guests are required to make their own beds (sheets, pillowcase, duvet cover) upon arrival, and strip them off, placing them in the designated laundry basket upon check-out. If you're unwilling to do this or find making your own bed a hassle, you might want to consider booking elsewhere.
The room was decent, it's a bit of a walk up to the hotel but they do provide a free shuttle bus service from the ferry terminal, though I didn't take it as I like to explore the island a bit. The hotel is relatively closer to the Mt Misen Ropeway, but sadly it was under maintenence during my stay there.
The public bath is the highlight of my stay there, it was amazing and nobody was using it in the time I was there, so I had the entire jacuzzi to myself to relax in. For the shy ones, you are able to check if the bath is occupied from the television in the room before heading there.
The staff were very kind and tried their best to communicate with me in English, and even provided recommendations for dinner around the island as I did not opt for the dinner there. A single momiji manju was waiting on the table when I entered the room with a handwritten note from the staff, which was a very nice gesture.
Clean room and bathroom, medium size, good location, easy to find and move around. The problem is: all the rooms 501, 502, 503 are on a 5th floor and there’s is no elevator; so you’ll have to carry up your suitcase. Also, floors 2 to 4 are not part of the hotel, so be aware of the noise if you arrive late at night. And, there’s is no place to or way to keep your luggage after check out (check out is at 10am, so if your next train leaves later during the day of check out; you’ll have to take the luggage with you)
The hostel had a great location. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but you had your privacy.
Toilets and shower were very clean.
All in all a nice hostel to stay for 1 or two nights. For a longer stay I would recommend a different one because the beds weren’t that comfortable:))
The room was very spacious. I've stayed in many apartments before, but this one had a lot of pleasant surprises. Besides the usual amenities, there was an oven, and the kitchen even came with cooking oil and salt! All I needed to buy was groceries for simple cooking! There was drip coffee available too! The room was big enough, the air conditioning was strong, and the bathroom was clean! I'll definitely choose this place again if I come back to Hiroshima!
Budget friendly hostel in a good location. It is walking distance to Hiroshima station so it's very convenient. Only one thing my dormitory just next to the kitchen and it was noisy from the kitchen... People talk so lound and my last day early morning there are hangover backpackers in the room. A bit feels unsafe so stay alert
A stay at THE SAKAI SUITE places you in the heart of Hiroshima, within a 15-minute walk of Hiroshima Green Arena and International Conference Center Hiroshima. This apartment is 14.6 mi (23.5 km) from Itsukushima Shrine and 13.9 mi (22.3 km) from Miyajima Ferry Terminal.
Make yourself at home in one of the 4 guestrooms, featuring kitchens with refrigerators and stovetops. 55-inch Smart televisions with cable programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include desks and separate sitting areas.
Very close to the streetcar, very convenient.
There is a lockable locker at the bedside, which is large enough to fit a large backpack, so you can safely put down your belongings.
The staff are friendly and will take the initiative to chat.
It was clean and easy to spend!
There were convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, and it was good to choose access to the Peace Memorial Park well!
Thank you!

アアンナだけThe hostel is neat and tidy, big dining area where you can chill any time. The location is pretty good, the Peace Park is really near the hotel. I liked Hiroshima and staying in the guesthouse was comfortable
The hotel offers excellent service, with staff who are friendly and attentive. It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the main railway station, making it easy for travelers to access. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, equipped with modern facilities such as air conditioning, high-speed internet. Overall, it provides a comfortable and convenient stay, making it a worthwhile choice for visitors.
GGuest UserIncredible traditional Japanese house, newly renovated with everything you need for comfort. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked for us to prepare our own meals. The garden is beautiful and you can enjoy ocean view and sunrise from the house, there’s even a blooming Cherry Blossom tree in the garden. Just a tip to keep the sliding doors closed properly because mosquitoes do get in. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Was there for only there three days but it eas a really nice place. The staff is really helpful with any question you might have and it's really cloe to the main train and bus station in Hiroshima. Would recommend.
GGuest UserThis is a great hostel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They speak good English and there are many other solo travelers that come here. I met some great people. There's a kitchen too that's well equipped. The bedrooms are also very spacious and comfy. My only downside is being woken up at 10am everyday as the staff come in to clean the rooms from guests that have checked out.
I stayed only for a night but it was so nice and ai would have definitely stayed more I needed it too. The place is relaxing and very cosy. I highly recommend if you look for a small and chill vibe. Location is amazing close to the station and near by shops.
GGuest UserThe environment is very beautiful and there are many cute cats nearby The window of the room overlooks the Seto Inland Sea Whether it is day or night, the scenery is super beautiful I could see the sunrise but I was too lazy to get up and take pictures🤣
