The homestay our family stayed in Seattle was good and affordable, the surrounding community environment was good, and there was a park not far away. The homestay facilities are well-equipped and laundry is convenient.
The scenery is beautiful. There is a bonfire at night. There are parent-child activities, with its own golf course, the fairway is relatively narrow, and the course is entertaining.
The room was very clean and newly decorated, and there was enough space for two large suitcases. The toilet is not in the room and you need to go out of the public area, which is not a big problem. There is a laundry room and kitchen on the first floor, with tableware, kitchen utensils and oven.
Even though reviews toward this guest house, which were shown in Google, are rather low, I am satisfied with overall features in the house. Especially if you like using public transportation such as buses and trains in Seattle, the location of the house is rather good. It only takes 10-20 minutes from the house to downtown in Seattle. Also, though the size of the room is rather small, but also it was also enough to sleep. However, the drawback in the house is that you can hear the noises from the other rooms. If you are super-sensitive to hearing noises, then I wouldn't recommend the place. However, if you are not sensitive to it, then probably it would be fine.

GGuest UserKalaloch Lodge was definitely cute, simple, and had such a beautiful view from the cabin. The staff were also very kind and welcoming during our stay. However, there were a few issues that made the experience disappointing for me personally. There was no phone service or WiFi available, which may not bother everyone, but it was difficult for me. The hot water ran out after the first person showered, the heater would shut off after a while, and by the morning we had no electricity in the cabin at all. I understand they warn guests about no air conditioning, but I didn’t see anything mentioned about possible power issues. As a woman trying to get ready for the day, having no electricity made things really inconvenient. Unfortunately, some of the blankets also had stains on them. Overall, the scenery and staff were wonderful, but I personally don’t think I would stay here again unless I absolutely needed to.
GGuest UserThe separate cabin was cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. I had a couple of issues though. I attempted to confirm our reservations two days before our arrival, but phone messages and emails went unanswered until the day before our arrival. In that the inn is located in a remote area, I had to make contingency reservations at another hotel, which I cancelled after my reservation with the Bush Inn was finally confirmed. The loft sleeping area is unsafe to access by ladder. Elderly and overweight adults and children are apt to fall using that ladder. The shower curtain feels as if I am inside a plastic bag. Nightly train whistles are annoying and sleep disruptive. I'm surprised Index residents haven't taken action to curtail them.
GGuest UserWe had a decent stay at the house. The room is pretty small but it is clean. The common area are nice with dinner table and chairs, but only have 1 living room chair. Kitchen is nice and clean, unfortunately, there were some issues with ants in the kitchen. The major issue with the house is the noise.. as the wall are very thin which when any other guest walking in the common area or talking in their rooms, you pretty much can hear everything. The common area lights are motion sensitive and unfortunately the door gap in our room are bigger than normal, as anyone walks in the hallway, our door frames would lights up at night and wake me up at night. We didn't get too good of a sleep/rest for this reason.

The room was decorated fine and was close to the park. The bed was super comfortable.
Cons
Because my phone number is international, they never sent me the text to check in. There was nobody at the entrance so we had to call. Man who picked up had a pretty bad attitude, but the girl was friendly.
Room smelled like an armpit that hasn’t been washed in weeks. Also the fridge in the shared living room was completely stocked by another guest. The other guests were loud and talkative until around midnight, and started the next day around 5:30AM.
Next time I’ll stay farther away and drive. Maybe in Concrete
GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay, and only wish we could’ve stayed longer! The beds are cozy, showers are perfect, and the owners were very friendly. We loved the breakfast- our kids loved having freshly laid eggs and then heading out to meet the chickens :) We would definitely recommend this place!
