GGuest UserThe staff at this hostel is very kind hearted and welcoming — we even received a free room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise! The interior is cozy and the location is also great, with a nearby bus stop, multiple restaurants and a supermarket.

AAdamas17Sheng 45 Is located a 25 minute walk from city attractions and a 15+ minute taxi ride to the train and bus stations. Around 8am and 5pm, traffic is terrible because of parents picking up their kids at the nearby school.
The Good
The best part was the social experience. A couple volunteers were very friendly. They played games and watched movies with us in the communal area on the ground floor. It is a great place to meet people.
The Bad
While the dorm bed and room were comfortable, there were significant issues elsewhere. The door to the room made loud noises whenever entering and exiting that disturbed sleep. Someone kept the door to the roof outside open, permitting the toxic stench from the nearby auto shop inside as well as street noise and humidity. There was only one functioning squat toilet on the third floor in a dirty bathroom with little privacy—one of the doors wouldn’t close.

GGuest UserLocation was really good, just near the train station and a bus stop going to train station and Kumbum Monastery, but it's quite hard to find at night especially it's in a dark alley. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, when I stayed, the water was on and off (mostly off) ― some people had to call the staff to turn it on. And that made the toilet unusable as well!

GGuest UserMy first solo trip was amazing, and I found such a wonderful hotel and such great owners! The owners are so thoughtful, handsome, and talented—the atmosphere was fantastic! The toilets were spotless and odorless, the hygiene was excellent, and their explanation of altitude sickness safety measures saved my friend from a dire situation. In short, for Xining, come to Qingting!!

TTranThe hostel is fancy and staff so nice. The bed is soft and clean, but toilet a little smell of urine. The room is big and comfortable with a sofa, a desk to work or read book. Good place to meet up new people

There are message walls on both sides of the corridors of the hotel. This is the hotel's biggest feature. On them are written the heartfelt words of young people from all over the country. Most of them are impassioned people. There are also words of love between me and me, heroes who are short of breath and children who are long in love. It makes people read it with a thousand emotions. Turn and feel the ups and downs of the story!
There are also a variety of books that can be borrowed, and readers can take them at will and return them voluntarily. The bosses and his wife are definitely cultural people who hide in the city, and they are eminent monks who hide their secrets!
In addition, there are two kinds of drinking water, mineral water and tap water, at the front desk in the corridor, which is very convenient. Even the boss’s son is very sensible!
In the morning, I stood on the overpass, munching on pickled mustard and drinking boiling water to make eggs. I leisurely looked at the sparse flow of people outside the overpass and watched the morning sun rise little by little from the sea of clouds. Hitting a passerby is like being outside the world!
This hotel is very safe to stay in! Thanks to the boss and his family of three for providing a warm living environment to tired travelers in faraway Xining!
