Xining is a fantastic, vibrant city, and my biggest regret is not staying longer; it deserves way more time than just a quick transit stop thanks to its incredible food scene, night markets, and laid-back vibe. During my visit, I stayed at LETE Hostel, which serves as a solid, character-rich base for exploring the region. The top-floor communal space has real history and soul, beautifully flooded with sunlight, packed with green plants, a massive library, and even three cute resident birds. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming, always doing their best to help out. Location-wise, it’s perfect - super convenient for the night markets, local food stalls, and bus stops, plus they offer safe bike storage for cyclists. For the price of a private room, the value and hospitality here are unbeatable, and I would absolutely stay again - and next time, I’ll be giving Xining the full week it deserves.

Everything about this place was just right. I really felt the artistic vibe, and I imagine the owner must be a young person with great taste and a big heart, catering to all ages and fulfilling every artistic youth's dream. It's clean, tidy, and has all the services and facilities you could ask for. The cleaning lady was very kind, and the front desk staff was very polite. There were also many enthusiastic travelers. As a Virgo traveler, I am very satisfied! This is a genuine five-star review, not one forced by the owner. I wish all fellow travelers embarking on journeys near and far safe travels; this place truly feels like a harbor for us wanderers. Everything was great except the room had essentially no ventilation or air-conditioning so it was very hard to fall asleep however as I got cooler it was a lot easier but that is the only negative. Everything else about this hotel was great.

The location is fantastic, right near Xining Railway Station, making travel super convenient. Even though it's a hostel, the cleanliness is top-notch, and the bedding is spotless. There are plenty of great food options nearby, and the recommendations from the owner were excellent! The owner is really enthusiastic and provided very detailed local tips. For this price in this area, the value for money is unbeatable, perfect for backpackers and students. I'll definitely come back next time!

Xianchu was very comfortable. Ancient city isn’t too far away and a nice riverside to run by. The people are very friendly, and other hostels are clustered in the same street so it’s easy to meet people Owner gave me tour of the city and was willing to hang out with guests

The road at the door is a bit dark, but there are many late-night snacks nearby, and you can also go to the nearby night market.

This was my first time staying in a youth hostel and it was a great experience. There are three of us. When we booked the room, we basically looked at a four-person room, but the store was very attentive and reserved a room for us specifically for three people. The store owner is also very nice. Especially that little sister. Love it, love it! ! ! !
