A typical Dormy Inn with good spa, evening noodle ice cream and in particular good service. When I checked out, the front desk staff went to outside of the hotel to try to get me a taxi.
Is right at the tourist spot but not within walking distance to the station ( less than ¥500 by taxi ).
If you like Dormy Inn, this one would not disappoint you. Also the spa clam to be able to heal a lot of diseases. Hope is right.
This was my first stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located near the station and an outlet mall, about a 5-10 minute walk away, mostly on flat ground. However, there aren't many convenience stores nearby; the closest option is a supermarket that's open until 11 PM, which is quite handy.
Upon check-in, the front desk informed us that check-in was between 11 AM and 3 PM, but we could already hear vacuuming noises as early as 9:30 AM.
**Room:**
The room was quite cramped, barely allowing enough space to open two 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom had good ventilation and was very clean. The soundproofing, however, could be improved. We could clearly hear people walking or talking in the corridor, and even the cleaning staff when they were on the same floor. The TV remote control was quite dusty, and the reception between the remote and the TV was poor. The air conditioning unit was located above the bed and was reasonably quiet. The hallways had low ceilings and were quite dim.
**Local Area/Activities:**
There are numerous restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is also accessible with about a 20-minute walk.
**Safety:**
I had some concerns regarding safety. The public bath could be accessed without a card, and the doors to both the men's and women's baths were frequently left open.
**Walkability:**
A supermarket is conveniently located about 5 minutes away on foot. Kurashiki Station is a 5-8 minute walk, and it's easily accessible not only by road but also via a connecting pedestrian bridge, which is very convenient. Ario Kurashiki and Mitsui Outlet Park Kurashiki are both within a 10-minute walk.
**Dining:**
There's a dining area located on the lobby floor, and breakfast can be purchased separately. Snacks and drinks are available for ¥200 each. Additionally, near the front desk, there's a self-service area offering daily essentials and green tea powder.
**Important Notes:**
The large public bath is not a natural hot spring (onsen). The changing room is quite small, with only about 10-12 lockers, 3 vanity stations, and 4 shower stalls. The shower water pressure was a bit low, and the water temperature was inconsistent. The bath itself was also quite shallow. It is open 24 hours. There is one massage chair available for guest use. There's only one elevator, which is not very spacious, leading to longer waiting times. Rooms only have two door hanger options: 'refill towel' or 'please clean,' which must be placed outside the door before 11 AM for service. Self-service laundry and drying facilities are available.
You can find it by walking along the shopping street in front of the station. It is within a ten-minute walk from the station and the shopping district. It is convenient for transferring to Okayama Airport (35 minutes by bus) and Kurashiki Bikan (17 minutes) or for shopping before leaving the country. However, not all stores are duty-free, so you need to check first.
From 15 to 21, each person is provided with a welcome drink, the blue special is delicious. You can store your luggage before or after check-in.
The cabins are divided into men's and women's cabins, and both require card swipe to enter. There are free comics, bathrooms and toilets in the rooms. Dozens of people live in the rooms. Some people are talking loudly in the middle of the night and early in the morning, and some people have a cold and keep coughing. Because we were locked in the same space, I also caught a cold after I went back😷⋯⋯
The two bathhouses are very different, the space may be twice as big, and only one of them has a semi-outdoor pool. Men and women will switch places, and a password is required to enter the women's bathing area. There are TVs everywhere, including in the hot spring area, restaurant, and oven 😂.
Gym, workshop, smoking room
I think the local breakfast is pretty good, and it's pretty standard. For dessert, they provide Okayama-style dumplings. Grape konjac is also good.
A lovely hotel in downtown Okayama. Got a nice roof hot springs, there are also some other free services like night ramen noodle and ice creams, which is nice. Check in time is very strict from 3pm only and the surrounding environment is not the best ( surrounded by parking lots…)
The hotel is located very close to Jinshan Station, no 6 minutes to go, the room is small but moderate hot spring hotel; There is no semi-open-air bath for women, only men's baths have to be available. The bath soup man has to take the room card, and the woman takes the other bath card; There is no bottled water in the room, don't mind using an electric kettle to dry the water. We bought water that time. The most pleasant surprise is that you can see the sunrise in the room (the room is in the direction of the train station); breakfast is OK, special Jinshan fried udon and tofu, overall acceptable group hotel.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel is perfect. The mattress and duvet of the hotel are very comfortable and clean full marks
We are driving over to the hotel staff at the door to meet have five-star enjoyment , hot spring is also very hot and clean, 2 meals service is full score, and dinner food has room for improvement, breakfast options, not much room for improvement, maybe because of winter, many shops near the hotel have been closed early, we came to this hotel is around 3:30, then very convenient to visit Law Hill City. Our stay was also the wedding anniversary the hotel was very attentive to give us a small gift thank you 👍

WWK.CThe scenery is so beautiful, very comfortable and first-class service! The proprietress and the driver staff are kind and friendly! If you buy a jrpass, you can make an appointment to pick up and drop off. It’s free at Kurayoshi Station and highway tolls at Tsuyama Station, but it’s worth it. Time is money. I gave a small gift before I finally left, looking forward to going again next time!
