My husband and I can not thank the Heather Glen enough for making our wedding day special from the start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and they made all our guests feel welcome. Not one of them had a bad thing to say, the food was outstanding, and we will definitely be back to have a Sunday lunch. Want to say a special thanks to Judith who from the moment of contact has kept in touch with all the planning and pointed all the other people involved where to go, we would recommend the heather glen for weddings and for any other function

Absolutely outstanding! My husband and I have been to many a hotel for a break away from the kids and the dogs. The Heather Glen is only 15 minutes away from home but we could have been anywhere! Room was absolutely beautiful. Spotless, every thing you could possibly hope for. The bed was so comfy. The bath was stunning and the shower was superb. Just perfect. We were in room 1. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the filo duck starter and my husband had liver pate. For mains we had the steak pie and gammon. Both were exceptional. We ended with a three sweet desert and a cheese board. Amazing! The staff are an absolute credit! so nice and friendly and could not do more for you! Breakfast was incredible too! Can’t wait to go back!

Had a delightful Sunday lunch in this stylish country house - the service was understated, relaxed and friendly . The food was first class- ( King Prawn starter was so simple and fresh) , the roast excellent - I could only manage a bit of hubbies pudding but it was delicious and rounded off with excellent coffee. highly recommend!

Tucked away in the heart of the country Quiet and secluded Food outstanding service excellent So friendly Rooms absolutely tasteful with lots of personal touches Divine bedding and comfy beds Great parking Always dad to leave absolutely faultless , dinner bed and breakfast tariff too fantastic value

Just enjoyed delicious Sunday lunch och for Mothers Day. Service was excellent and the food was delicious with a home cooked feel. Outstanding roast beef and Yorkshire puddings.. just like my Yorkshire mother used to make! Can recommend the mushroom & bacon starter too. I didn’t have a pudding but the rest of our party did - they all looked and tasted top class. Thanks to all staff involved in delivering a very high class meal for a very reasonable in beautiful surroundings.

Amazing experience from start to finish for Sunday lunch . From having drinks to being served we felt welcomed and not rushed at all . The food was outstanding and all of our group had something different and we all loved every course ! Have lived in Carlisle for 20 years and can’t believe it’s taken this long to find this amazing place !

Outstanding hotel and restaurant We have just returned from our two night stay at Heather Glen, we were celebrating my husbands Birthday and have had the most fantastic weekend. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. We had a beautiful view of trees and fields from our bedroom and all the facilities were great. The restaurant is superb, being gluten free and vegetarian it can sometimes be difficult to find places that cater, the chef was incredible. I was given multiple choices including breaded brie for starters and a trio of desserts (what a treat when I am normally just offered ice cream!) The veggie pie was delicious - the best food I have ever had. Staff were so polite and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best time. Would highly recommend! We will be back!

Had a fantastic Sunday Lunch at The Heather Glen today with my friends Barbara & June, delicious food, great service and great value for money, would highly recommend it. I can honestly say I’ve never ever had a bad meal there, it’s a lovely venue for weddings, christening’s and and any other special occasion.

Beautiful location, fantastic food, reasonable prices, large portions and excellent service 👌🏻👌🏻 I can highly recommend the locally sourced Lamb it fell off the bone and tasted exceptional 😋😋 No photos taken by me unfortunately but I struggled to finish it all off there was that much and I love my food. We will return again soon and for anyone else considering visiting I recommend booking a few weeks in advance if possible as it does fill up.
