Sterling Lake Palace Alleppey

My recent experience at this property was profoundly unsatisfactory, marred by a cascade of issues that made my stay anything but comfortable. Below is a detailed account of the problems encountered: 1. **Check-In Delay:** Despite arriving at the designated check-in time, my room was allotted **7 hours later**, causing unnecessary inconvenience and disruption to my plans. No adequate explanation or compensation was offered for this significant delay. 2. **Unhygienic Room Condition:** Upon entering the room, I was greeted by an infestation of **mosquitoes**, which made the space uninhabitable. The lack of basic pest control measures reflects a blatant disregard for guest comfort and health. 3. **Non-Functional Amenities:** - **Broken Wardrobe:** The wardrobe door was damaged and unusable, leaving no proper storage for belongings. - **Faulty TV & Fridge:** The television had connectivity issues, and the fridge was not cooling, rendering both appliances pointless. - **Dysfunctional Intercom:** The intercom system did not work, making it impossible to contact reception for assistance. 4. **Poor Maintenance:** The property is in dire need of repairs and upgrades. Cracked walls, worn-out furniture, and outdated fixtures further highlighted the neglect. None of the amenities promised were in usable condition, which is unacceptable for any hospitality establishment. This property has potential, but the sheer lack of upkeep, broken amenities, and apathetic service make it impossible to recommend. Until significant investments are made in maintenance, pest control, and guest services, I strongly advise travelers to avoid this location. A stay here is not worth the frustration or expense.

Overall it's very bad experience, service is not good at all its very overpriced for the service and money the hotel charging. Waiting period for everything even smaller things takes eternity.

Excellent location amidst the backwaters of Alleppey. I could not find anything to complain about ! Rooms are spacious & every room has a view. Staff is excellent, coureous, welcoming & helpful. Their buggy service is better than any other resort. The diner is fabulous with every varity of seafood available ! Yes, they make their cocktails well. Thank to Avilasha(front desk), Vinod(buggy), dining hall staff for making our stay memorable. Highly recommended.

This is a Awesome Large Property in Alleppey with Boat Houses and Cottages , Rooms etc , Has a Spa , Breakfast Area , Pool , Backwater Boating is complementary every day in Evening , Large Pool , Sunrise and Sunsets are Amazing as the Property is near the Backwaters Lake with a View , we were upgraded to a Suite and it has a large Balcony , there is Buggy Services for travel if you wish not to walk , The Buffet Food is Good Limited Spread but okay for Breakfast and Dinner , Staff is Friendly and Service is Good , ABHIJEET was very Helpful All the Days of our Stay , Excellent Service and Hard working , Both the Managers Gopal and Shiva was also courteous at the final days of our Stay . This made our Holiday Memorial, Don't forget to visit Popy Umbrella at the Market for a variety of Umbrellas and meet Shibu there .

We are from London on a family trip and had visited kochi and Munnar so were at the end of our trip to Kerala where we wanted to relax and enjoy the weather for a few days. We were glad we chose this resort as we really did relax and have a lovely break so for us It is probably the best resort in Allepey! The resort is located in Beautiful lush green surroundings, very peaceful and serene that is very pretty. The staff all work hard to look after it from the ground staff and cleaners to room service and management. Adarsh, Saidul, Matthew made us feel special, spoke good English and understood our requirements, feedback and gave great customer service It was our 25th anniversary and they gave us balloons and decorated room as well as a freshly made cake which we all really enjoyed and appreciated. The food is excellent!! We didn’t go anywhere else as was so comfortable relaxed and everyda plenty of choices Dipankar, Manoj, Saidul and the Chefs are excellent and passionate about their restaurant and gave us great service throughout. Aditi and Marcy are also doing very well. The activity room is good with good options for all ages especially Table tennis table which is best my husband has seen in a hotel. There are 3 standards of rooms . We got suite 3 and loved it and the views. The room service staff including Akshay and Shalini are through and friendly too. Suggestion They need to improve the road leading to the hotel, the potholes, the lighting and signage so first impressions was not very welcoming The restaurant door windows need to be cleaned at least 3 times a day to prevent smudging and marks and windows cleaned more frequently Pool is nice but the loungers are very uncomfortable and need cushions or replacing to rattan ones. Music would be nice as well as some balls and armbands for kids It would be very good business for hotel if they had a pool bar. They should display drink menus on tables and pool bar and also have happy hour for drinks and deliver drinks to activities room where everyone socialised. The massage area was nice but quite expensive 4500 inr whereas outside resort there are many for 1600 inr including Santhisukan and Lulu Massage Overall we had an amazing stay because the location food staff were very good and one of our best family holidays abroad. For 2 nights, I ***** with family stayed at Sterling Alleppey. Hotel is surrounded by backwaters and rice fields, with a beautiful view from all rooms. Food was very good. Staff was supportive. Hotel staff arranged for House boat trip and Kayaking, which was on of a kind experience. Place is very nice if u r travelling with family We enjoyed the trip a lot Thanks Sterling for this experience!!
