"Went on the Cattelya 2. Spent 2 nights on board. Wonderful crew served us great meals, of vegetable curries, appams, fried fish and prawns that we picked up. The bedrooms were airconditioned as were the living areas. The aircon ran constantly without issues. The toilets were clean and well designed. The crew were unobtrusive and kept to themselves except at mealtimes and docking. Saw beautiful churches and fantastic views ***** the way. The canals are clean and full of life. Memorable trip"

"We absolutely loved the relaxed feel of this place. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is just brilliant, a real sun trap. The food was great too. We had a beautiful room. Yes there is a flyover just outside which is such a shame. But it did not detract from a fabulous stay. Great if you want a little escape from the business and having a bar is a huge bonus in this part of the world."

Sreekrishna Houseboats

"The most irritating part of this houseboat is the boat will drive in the backwaters only for few times, maximum time it will be stopped. In mm t the check out time was mentioned at 9 am, but they completed the journey at 7:45 am. Food is ok, not too bad, not too good. My suggestion is if you want to enjoy backwaters then book a small boat and enjoy or more cheaper option is govt ferry."

"If you are anywhere near Alleppey, you need to eat at the restaurant inside Hotel Olivia International. We stopped in for lunch, and it easily goes down as the absolute best meal we have had so far on our trip to India! The food was phenomenal, but the service elevated the entire experience to another level. Sumit, who was part of the dining staff, was absolutely exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and guided us through the dishes with true expertise. To top it all off, the chef personally came out to to meet us—a fantastic touch of hospitality that made us feel incredibly welcome. Hands down, this turned out to be the greatest dining experience of our entire trip. Incredible food, world-class service, and unforgettable hospitality. We are already looking forward to visiting them again!"

We also went on a half day backwater boat cruise organised by the host, this was a surreal experience, including a delicious breakfast and lunch .
