"If you are anywhere near Alleppey, you need to eat at the restaurant inside Hotel Olivia International. We stopped in for lunch, and it easily goes down as the absolute best meal we have had so far on our trip to India! The food was phenomenal, but the service elevated the entire experience to another level. Sumit, who was part of the dining staff, was absolutely exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and guided us through the dishes with true expertise. To top it all off, the chef personally came out to to meet us—a fantastic touch of hospitality that made us feel incredibly welcome. Hands down, this turned out to be the greatest dining experience of our entire trip. Incredible food, world-class service, and unforgettable hospitality. We are already looking forward to visiting them again!"

"This is a really fine homestay hotel. It’s very new and well-designed. There’s a small pool on the roof that offers a great view of the beach while you cool off. There’s an elevator for those of us who can’t handle stairs as well as we once could. The owner and staff are super friendly. Complimentary breakfast was eaten with other guests and usually the owner. A very family-like atmosphere."

"We absolutely loved the relaxed feel of this place. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is just brilliant, a real sun trap. The food was great too. We had a beautiful room. Yes there is a flyover just outside which is such a shame. But it did not detract from a fabulous stay. Great if you want a little escape from the business and having a bar is a huge bonus in this part of the world."

"Jose’s homestay is a peaceful and welcoming property in the quiet backstreets of Alleppey, Jose and the staff who work there are all incredibly helpful and make you feel at home. The room was top notch, spacious, comfortable and clean ! We also went on a half day backwater boat cruise organised by the host, this was a surreal experience, including a delicious breakfast and lunch . "The most irritating part of this houseboat is the boat will drive in the backwaters only for few times, maximum time it will be stopped. In mm t the check out time was mentioned at 9 am, but they completed the journey at 7:45 am. Food is ok, not too bad, not too good. My suggestion is if you want to enjoy backwaters then book a small boat and enjoy or more cheaper option is govt ferry."
