Everything was excellent. Except the world loudest door on the dorm room. A simple slow moving door closer would solve this. Unfortunately 3 terrible nights sleeps as a result of a small oversight.

Super great hostel! Loved it very much. The location of the hostel is really convenient and you could basically go to major attractions in Amsterdam by walking for a few minutes like the red light district, the Dam square and more importantly the Central station.
Though it is a large room that has quite a number of residents, everyone respected each other’s privacy and they did not make loud noises.
The receptionists were super nice and helpful and they spoke good English.
I would definitely recommend this place to y’all.

Stayed at Durty Nelly’s Inn for two nights and the location honestly can’t be beaten – right in the centre, steps from everything. Check-in was smooth and the reception staff was very friendly and welcoming. The dorm beds are pod-style, which gives you a decent amount of privacy and makes sleeping easier than in standard bunks. They’re not soundproof, though, and I did have a couple of loud snorers in my room. The other guests kept to themselves; barely got a “hello,” which felt a bit unusual for a hostel. One thing to note: there’s no communal kitchen and they have a strict no food in rooms policy. It keeps the place clean, but it does mean you’ll be eating out for every meal, which adds to the budget. Overall, a comfortable stay in a brilliant location – just be aware of the lack of kitchen and bring earplugs.

Nice well-lit bar, good drinks prices... but absolutely full of flies! I lost two pints due to flies landing in them! Layout is fairly decent, I can imagine it makes a killing in the evenings but I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're bug conscious.
