DoubleTree by Hilton Changbaishan Hot Spring

The hotel's VIP access to Changbai Mountain was incredibly convenient and saved us a lot of time. The service, room design, cleanliness, and breakfast were all excellent, and the shuttle service was also very handy. The only thing that needs improvement is the dining; there's only one restaurant, and the menu is too limited.

The environment is great, surrounded by greenery. The buffet is also very clean and hygienic, and the service is excellent. I'm very satisfied.

Breakfast was plentiful, and the hotel offered shuttle services to scenic spots and the high-speed train station, which was very convenient for guests. The hotel offered airport pick-up, and my stay was excellent. We had access to a special 'green channel' for entering the scenic area, which was very convenient. Our hotel butler, Eric Jackson, provided fantastic service, and the room was comfortable, clean, and tidy.

Our family room was perfect for our two adults and two children, and they even included free breakfast for the kids. There's a private entrance to the scenic area, and they offer a shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station. Upon check-in, we received some cookies, which were quite tasty. The hotel can also arrange car and ticket bookings for nearby rafting trips at a reasonable price. The hotel's hot spring is natural, with several indoor and outdoor pools, so it's definitely worth a visit if you have time. Overall, we were very satisfied.

First time visiting Northeast China, and as a 'southern potato' (a playful term for someone from the south), I brought my little niece along. There's a dedicated shuttle service to and from the hotel, and as soon as we arrived, someone helped us with our luggage. Our hotel butlers, Jackson and Eric, provided excellent service and were incredibly responsive. I estimated our descent time and, fearing we might be late, quickly contacted the butler. He not only helped with our luggage but also arranged a car for us, and even provided warm cookies to tide us over. When we checked in, a lovely lady with a fringe at the front desk was very nice. Luckily, there was an available room, and she upgraded us to one with a bathtub, which made my niece incredibly happy! The hotel layout is very clear, and the rooms are also very clean. The restaurant is conveniently located on the first floor, so after eating, you can just step out to board your car. The hot springs are visible right as you exit the elevator, with both indoor and outdoor options, keeping the kids thoroughly entertained. The concierge who booked our mountain ascent was also fantastic. Having VIP access significantly enhanced our experience, making the climb much faster. We managed to be among the first group, which was great for photos with fewer people around. While waiting for the shuttle to the station, adults can relax in the lobby while children enjoy the play area. Overall, a superb experience!

Changbai Mountain High-Speed Rail Station pick-up and drop-off service once each (please be sure to book one day in advance): To be honest, after I booked, I kept waiting for a pre-arrival call. I've stayed at many hotels, but no one from this one contacted me. I understand that it might be due to staff shortages during the off-season, but if you don't contact me, how am I supposed to know your hotel's information? The experience was already disappointing before I even arrived. I only remembered there was a car service to pick me up when I got to the high-speed rail station, so I quickly called the hotel. They sent a car with no license plate to pick me up, like an unlicensed taxi. Travel butler service: Completely non-existent. Hilton DoubleTree welcome cookies: No one offered them. From check-in to check-out, there were only two cold apples in the room (one of which was bruised, fine, we didn't eat or touch them). Very disappointing. I didn't book your hotel just for a small cookie, but since it was clearly stated as included and wasn't provided, I didn't dare to ask for anything else. Facilities: They were okay, no major issues during my two-day stay. Oh! The shower in my room drained slowly, and the hot water temperature was unstable. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Service: In the morning, I passed by a housekeeping auntie cleaning while on my way to breakfast. She just stared at me directly, which was a bit intimidating. I was the one who initiated by saying, "Hello," and only then did this 'gazing' auntie greet me. If this is the kind of service, there's no need to force employees to enthusiastically greet guests (I could clearly feel that the auntie didn't want to and wasn't willing to say anything, which I completely understand).
