"The room was very clean, and I did not notice any areas that felt dirty during my stay. The location is excellent for anyone who has business at the university. However, for tourists, it may be less convenient, as there is no nearby metro or train station and traveling around requires taking a taxi. For me, since I was visiting a friend who studies at the university, the location was perfect. The staff were cheerful, friendly, and very helpful throughout my stay. The room was well equipped with most of the necessary amenities. The only thing missing was a refrigerator. Surprisingly (and amusingly), there was even laundry detergent provided 😂, which was a nice and unexpected touch."

"Even though everything is new, it felt better than expected! The main thing is that we didn't have any bad meals during our three days in the scenic area – the food was good, and the prices weren't high, which was a pleasant surprise! The tidal bore show in front of the visitor center plays for 10 minutes every hour on the hour, and it's free to watch. Before we checked in, the hotel added me on WeChat and provided check-in instructions, navigation, and parking information. Since I didn't want to get stuck in traffic during the holiday, I took the subway and then the Hanghai Intercity line. After getting off at Yanguan station, I didn't want to wait for the shuttle bus, so I took a taxi. It took about an hour and a half from the city center to the scenic area, and the journey was quite smooth. Both the daytime and nighttime views are great, with plenty of places to explore and eat – though it does make your legs tired. The shuttle bus is free for hotel guests, but it takes a roundabout route. Unless you're going to watch the tide at the Tidal Bore Park, it's not really necessary for non-guests. Tidal Bore Park requires a separate ticket; you'll regret it if you don't see the bore, and you might regret it if you do – it's mainly about experiencing it since you're already here. Be sure to protect yourself from heatstroke and sunburn when watching the tide! All the activities are music-related, with循环 performances. You can check the schedule via the WeChat mini-program. The scenic area map is a bit abstract, though; the locations of the shows are basically impossible to find directly on the map. You either have to ask someone or try to figure out the connections to find them. Don't rely on the routes shown on the map; just use it for general direction. If you want to go somewhere, walk in the general direction, and you can cut through small paths and buildings – as long as there's a path, you can go. Walking in and out of the Xuande Gate Hotel, the small side gate is the most convenient. Currently, only the indoor pool is open. I also took a stroll to the Main Singer Hotel on the other end; it has a different style, so it might be nice to try staying there for a day."

"The online service arranged for us a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor. As soon as we entered, there was a strong smell of new renovation because the windows hadn't been opened. We kept the windows and balcony door open while we slept, and the smell was fine then. The duvet was a thick winter one, which was a bit too warm for the current weather. Another thing I have to complain about is that the entire scenic area is very large, but the shuttle bus only stops at the start and end points, not in between, which was really inconvenient and made for a lot of walking. We mainly came to see the tidal bore, and the forecast said it would be one meter high, but in reality, it was probably about a decimeter. Everything else was good. The room even had a small sterilizer for cups, meeting a 5-star service standard."

"During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, we took the kids to Yanguan to see the Qiantang River tidal bore. We chose this Haishi Hotel based on reviews, and it was a wonderful surprise! The hotel rooms were spacious, with balconies, exquisitely decorated, and the service was excellent! Located right at the entrance of the ancient city scenic area, hotel guests can enter and exit the area multiple times using facial recognition, or take a shuttle bus – very convenient! There's a restaurant called Guchengmen Restaurant downstairs; the reviews suggested the food was good, but it was too crowded, so we ate out instead. We'll try it again next time!"

"The room is spacious and the location is good. The window is the core area of the scenic spot. There are singers singing but they will not feel noisy. Everything is just right. There is also a family convenience store. Breakfast is Cantonese morning tea. The amount is really too much to eat."

"I stayed here for one night during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. It's a two-hour drive from Shanghai. I parked in the parking lot across the street, and it was a short walk to the Tourist Service Center. I checked in at the Visitor Center and had unlimited access to the scenic area with facial recognition, which was quite nice. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the breakfast was plentiful. Because it wasn't the best time to watch the tides, I went with my children, and didn't see the magnificent scene described in textbooks. I'll go back for August 15th. Oh, and the cherry tomatoes were welcome. The staff were also nice and responded to calls promptly. However, the scenic area still needs a lot of renovations, so it should be even more popular in two years. It's also nice to have fewer people, so any photo you take is a beautiful sight."
