Pingxiang Hotels with balcony

The room was clean and tidy, the mountain spring water was a bit sweet, the cooking was delicious, the door was open and the parking was convenient, and the visitor center was also close. The house is quiet and comfortable in the village at the foot of the mountain.

Lovely hosts, beautiful rooms, and amazing home-cooked food! The hosts are extremely hospitable and spared no efforts to ensure that we were comfortable and well-prepared for our hike. They are great cooks and dinner often consists of locally sourced produce (bamboo shoots from the nearby mountain, home-cured meats, home-grown yams etc.) The local palate is on the spicy side, but they were more than willing to accomodate our weak tongues. In terms of location, the homestay is located right next to a stream, so close that you can hear it if you open your windows, and is conveniently located about 1km away from the trailhead. The outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax and unwind with tea, snacks, and the sounds of the babbling brook. We arrived in Pingxiang and took a 1 hour car ride to the homestay - easily found on the map and not hard to navigate to at all. Overall, definitely recommend this homestay if you intend to conquer Wugong shan! P.S. they also have 2 lovely dogs.

Location: Just two stops away from the entrance of Wugong Sanzhongan, about a 20-minute walk. There is a free transfer bus at the door. Parking is right at the door. Facilities: Although it is not as insta-worthy as the picture, it is very spacious. It is too cold in winter. The small air conditioner in the room is not enough. The mahjong table in the room is quite good. Three people came to play a few games.

There are advantages, but the disadvantages are fatal. I am very polite for not giving a bad review below 4 points. The following is an objective and fair evaluation. Advantages: 1. Convenience: It is not far from the bus station and the downtown street, 200 meters away; it is close to the Wugong Mountain trail entrance, 100 meters away on foot; it is close to the commercial street, 50 meters away on foot, and it is convenient for shopping and eating. 2. Quiet: The hotel is not on the street in the downtown area, and most of the rooms are on the mountain side, which is relatively quiet. The bedding is OK and conducive to sleep. 3. The hotel environment is good: The overall garden design of the hotel is good, with a back garden, a small viewing platform, and a small reservoir on the back mountain. It is nice to take a walk after dinner. 4. The hotel is equipped with a foot bath bucket, which is very considerate. Disadvantages: 1. The hotel does not turn on the cold air conditioning: I checked in for the last 3 days of April, and there were not many people. I can understand that the hotel does not turn on the air conditioning and dehumidification in the public areas in order to save costs, but it was so hot during those days, why turn off the cooling of the guest rooms and let the air conditioning heat cycle in the guest rooms? The good point is that after reporting to the staff, the cooling was turned on. 2. The air conditioner smells musty: It is really very strong. We asked a technician to come into the room to fix it. The technician was speechless and said that there was no way. We stayed for 3 days and did not turn on the air conditioner at night for fear of fainting in the room due to the stench. The hot air circulation and the musty smell of the air conditioner made the three of us feel that the hotel accommodation was the biggest failure of this trip. BTW, on the day of check-out on May 1, the central air conditioner and lights in the lobby were turned on. It felt that the guests at the end of April were not human beings, and our experience was not important. 2. Facility design defects: The shower area is not designed reasonably, the waterproof platform at the door opening is too low, the sealing under the door is not enough, the door opens outward, the water is a little bigger and the shower head does not lean inward, you will feel what it means to flood the Jinshan Mountain. 4. Service: The 3 nights were divided into several orders. After the order of the first night ended, before checking out, the hotel staff added WeChat and asked to give a 5-star review and asked to bring the name of a certain employee. I said that I would make a unified comment after checking out, but the service staff still asked to comment on the day this order ended. I was speechless. I can understand that there are KPI indicators, but it is too bad for good impression.

Complimentary shuttle service is offered. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. The Jiangxi cuisine was delicious. The location is fantastic, right within the scenic area and only a 3 to 4-minute walk to the trailhead.

The room was excellent, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable! The bathtub was fantastic, perfect for relaxing! The overall environment of the guesthouse was superb! There was a swimming pool, BBQ area, fireplace, large parking lot in front, and many recreational facilities! The owner was incredibly kind! Pet-friendly guesthouses are a godsend for families traveling with furry friends! The owner had a wonderful personality, was very easy to talk to, and they have a very obedient dog named Duoduo. This guesthouse experience was truly amazing! The breakfast was also delicious, with a wide variety of freshly made options! Hot and delicious! By the way! The location is very convenient, very close to hiking spots. After a hike, a relaxing bath was so relaxing!

Hemu is conveniently located close to the base of the beautiful Wugongshan. The hotel's atmosphere is relaxed and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff is very friendly and doesn't tire to give you tips for scaling the mountain. On top of that, the food is delicious. I can highly recommend staying at this place.

The front desk staff, especially Linda (Kexin), provided excellent service. The hotel room was very spacious, very clean, with a balcony facing the scenic mountains, allowing you to enjoy nature and fall asleep to its sounds at night. The bed is comfortably firm with good support for a restful sleep. The lobby is large, clean, and tidy. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, and overall the hotel offers great value for money—a wonderful choice near Wugong Mountain.

The room was very clean, the small RV was very warmly furnished, and the boss enthusiastically taught us how to use the RV. The next morning, the breakfast was dumplings and steamed buns and eggs made by the boss himself. The boss also warmly invited us to stay in the hotel for lunch. The ingredients for lunch were purchased by the boss on the same day. The craftsmanship was good. The rice was full. Wugong Mountain Visitor Center pick-up and drop-off: There are also some, which will carry us to the vicinity of the visitor center. The public area of the homestay is also very distinctive. I will continue to book this one next time.

This weekend, I chose this stargazing cabin in Guanyindang for my reverse trek through Wugong Mountain. It took me 10 hours to climb to Guanyindang, where I ate a self-heating meal and watched the sunset. Hot water was readily available in the room, and the flow was strong and very warm, relieving my muscle soreness. The air conditioner was a bit noisy at night, but after a long day of hiking, I slept straight through from 9 pm to 5 am. The skylight was broken, so I left it open by about 10 centimeters, and I could see the stars at night. It was incredibly bright by 6 pm, so I went to watch the sunrise. My friend was probably too bright to sleep! 😆
