Guest UserWe totally enjoyed our stay in Cloitre des Augustins in Avignon! We had 2 rooms and stayed for 6 nights with family. Rooms are clean, spacious and stylishly furnished. Air conditioning is perfect and with all utensils for making meals. The location is wonderful with lots of cafes, supermarkets and shops nearby. Also walkable to all major attractions such as the Pont d’Avignon (the broken bridge) and Palais de Papes. About 15 minutes walk to Avignon Centre train station which is a bonus if you plan to travel to nearby towns like Arles or Nimes by train. Convenient location and nice rooms. Besides, the host Patrick and his wife are helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended

xmOrangeThe hotel has an excellent location with convenient transportation, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. However, the soundproofing facing the street isn't great; there was noise from city cleaning vehicles around 4 or 5 AM. Also, the bath towels weren't changed daily during our three-night stay.

The hotel is located in the old city and needs to find a place to park by yourself. But fortunately, we can find a nearby location every time. The hotel room was rebuilt from an old house, the bathroom was slightly smaller, but it was not worth mentioning compared to the style of the old city. Bathing is enough. The room intimately adds heating equipment in different locations, so there is no need to worry about the cold in winter. There is also a family-style breakfast, elegant and delicious. The boss is very interesting and will introduce the hotel and nearby dining very interestingly. Warm and rich in French humor, it is a very good person. Usually walking to the nearby church market or the papal palace is very close. We drove to Arles and Stone City, also within an hour. It is recommended to experience the style of the medieval ancient city.

The room is really very small. Two people live a bit crowded. The big suitcase is barely put down.
The location is good. Avignon Central Railway Station comes out and walks 700 meters straight along the main road into the city. It is relatively safe in the center of the ancient city.
The house is indeed old. The elevator was built decades ago. It is very small and old (of course the appearance is newly renovated)
The room provides bath towels, towels, bathrobes and shampoo and bath products every day. There is a separate bathroom.
Beds, furniture, etc. are still a bit old, but overall it is clean
There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the praise is delicious or you can eat enough.
Service is also very good, the front desk has questions and answers English OK
It is very convenient to go to the attractions of the old city. You can walk to the hotel supermarket and other shops. The ancient city is still very beautiful.

My wife ordered a dish and didn't read the description properly, as it contained an ingredient she doesn't eat. She apologized for it.
Once the dish was sent back to the kitchen to remove the ingredient, we could hear the chef's annoyance, which he made sure the entire dining room heard from the kitchen.
I can understand the effort involved in preparing the food, etc., and that she didn't pay attention; she apologized and was embarrassed by the situation. But in terms of professionalism, it's a very bad look and not professional behavior at all. Unless that's what they teach in culinary school.
