Yangon Hotels with balcony

This hotel is a golf resort with a garden-style design, situated in a high-end community area that feels very safe. The indoor and outdoor executive lounge is open and inviting, and the restaurant is quite thoughtful. Overall, it's a well-maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious with private balconies overlooking the golf course, which is a much better view than what you'd typically get from a luxury hotel in the city center. The staff are all friendly and professional. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Yangon.

Review: The Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence remains one of Yangon’s most atmospheric and elegant hotels, combining colonial charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. Location is basically good but not easy to find shops nearby, Inya lake is just on the opposite side of the road but have to walk long way from the hotel room because the hotel is situated in the inward inlet. There's no water bottle in the room but instead guests have to go to the hallway to use the water server machine, which never gave cold enough water. This is an European hotel and says a lot about eco-friendly or sustainable stuff, but it means downgraded service compared to other hotels run by Korea or Singapore. Breakfast is simply superb and I liked very much.  Overall good hotel but it is recommended those who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of some peculiar things like sustainability.

Breakfast is very rich every day, and every day is different, this must be liked. The environment is relatively good. Relatively many hotels in the same category say that it is much quieter. The service was not even said, the hotel waiter even put my dirty clothes in a neat stack and put them away. Thank you here. The tip was originally reserved for the waiter, but was rejected. One more thing, breakfast can be delivered to the room, which is not available in similar hotels.

We booked this hotel for early departure to the airport. There were less than a day, but the impression remained the best. We are very grateful that we were moved with breakfast we could not use on the day of departure, in the morning of our universe to the hotel. The breakfast was very delicious and very tired after the night shift and did not want to go looking for another cafe at all. The staff was very kind and helpful in everything. Way-fai is weak in the hotel as is the case throughout Myanmar. The tea in the room is not available, on first request was given thermos with hot water. Shower is normal, room is spacious. There is a cafe at the hotel where you can have lunch or dinner. Prices are moderate. We are satisfied with the price and quality ratio. Good three-star hotel. Recommend.

The hostel is located in the old town, not far from the central train station. The lobby is on the first floor, and the rooms are on the second and third floors. Bed linens are changed after each guest. There's a table in the room, but the window is poorly maintained and can't be closed. A helpful young man at the front desk speaks some Chinese. The other staff only speak the local language, so communication was difficult. When I checked out, the front desk asked me to pay for the last night's stay, even though I had already paid. They said they hadn't received it, but thankfully the young man who speaks some Chinese came out and confirmed that I had paid in full.

It's a true journey through time, an enchan**ent that takes you to a ship from the year 1920. Several original details, such as a clock, the minibar inside a barrel, the bluetooth speaker that imitates a record player, all the leather furniture. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it, without a doubt, it was a beautiful experience. The only point of the location is at night, as there is a night market that doesn't seem so safe and, despite being vintage, some small details lack maintenance such as the carpet in the room, for example

Holly hotel is very convenient if you have to stay overnight between the Mingalar highway busstation and airport in Yangon. Hotel can arrange taxi but getting your own with Grab is cheaper. Also the restaurant on site is good for a meal but environment is not very inviting. The beds are comfortable and hot water is available 24/7. Nearby is Terminal shopping mall with Ocean supermarket . If you want to go to the city centre it will take you 45min. to an hour!

The service is good. They even pack breakfast to take it with you if you are leaving early morning. You can equest it on the night before your checkout morning. Good food and so many options to choose. For cleanliness, I would say they could put more effort into the cafeteria area at level 5. I killed one small cockroach 🪳 in the bathroom on the day of our arrival. This is nothing serious but I should mention it so that they could take good care of it for next customers who don't like any insects.
