The entire staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful – truly one of the highlights of the stay. The location is excellent, and having security on site at night adds an extra sense of safety. Overall, a fantastic place to stay in Yangon. Highly recommended!"

"I stayed here for a business trip. The staff at the entrance were incredibly polite and left a great impression. The lady at the front desk was also very thorough during check-in. The room itself was spotless, from the amenities to the bed, sofa, desk, and even the view. While the building isn't brand new, you can really feel the thoughtful hospitality extended to guests. Plus, having direct access to Junction City shopping mall with a supermarket made souvenir shopping incredibly convenient. There were also plenty of affordable and high-quality foot massage places just a 5-minute walk away. I had a really comfortable stay during my business trip and would definitely use this hotel again for future business travel."

"The Thanlwin meets all expectations. The staff is excellent and caters to every need. There's a Chinese restaurant (very good!), a Western restaurant (very good!), a rooftop pool, and a spa/massage area (very good but a bit pricey!). The prices are reasonable for the hotel's standard, though naturally a bit higher than other hotels. However, the quality is excellent. The food was exemplary, and the massages were extremely good, even if you could get them for half the price in Thailand. The cleanliness of the rooms is exemplary. The room amenities and size can only be described as sensational. I had a bathroom with a corner window and could see the pagoda from one of the top floors. Wonderful. The air conditioning is excellent, and the water pressure in the bathroom is perfect."

Here are the main pros and cons: Pros: — Breakfast included (buffet style). — Two bottles of water were provided daily. — A quiet and peaceful hotel. — Friendly and polite staff. Cons: — Shared shower (but this was stated upfront). — The breakfast was almost the same every day and not always replenished. It's best to go around 7:30–8:00 AM, otherwise, the food might run out. — The shared bathroom and toilet didn't look very clean. — The shower water was salty for some reason. Overall, it's a ”no-frills, get-the-job-done” type of place. For Myanmar, this is a perfectly decent budget option. You can comfortably stay for a few days."

The room was simple and functional. There was nothing particularly luxurious, but it had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious considering the size of the room. I also enjoyed the view from the room. Breakfast was good, and the hotel itself was very clean and well organized. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Even when there was a language barrier, they made a genuine effort to communicate and help in any way they could. Their friendliness and professionalism made a very positive impression. Overall, this is a clean, practical hotel with excellent service, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Yangon."

"Conveniently located near the airport, this is one of Myanmar's most luxurious hotels, situated right by the lake, which is lovely. The breakfast spread is generous, and the 'shaomai' (dumplings) are particularly delicious. They often host various events, and the lakeside bar has a great atmosphere."
