!!!! AVOID!!!! This hotel is taking in immigrants that aren’t vetted and could be a threat because of this. All these owners are thinking about is money money money instead of trying to create room for more tourism for our beautiful town. AVOID

This was a lovely hotel, unfortunately greed got the better of them and they are now turning it into a refugee center for young men. You have handed your own town over for money. No disregard for the people of this town. This town is going through a housing shortage due to pyrite and you have agreed to take in 200 male refugees.

Well done, what a great move, ipas will make you a fortune 👏 what a government we have , bravo. Incredible that they keep on and on and on, every town in Ireland having their tourist accommodation being filled with 100% occupancy. ipas is a game changer

Room had adjoining room separated by door that was not sound proof at all. It also let in light from the other guests room. So I could tell when the other guest used the bathroom or showered and when the other guest arrived in at 2am my room was lit up from under the door

This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had in Ireland, and ultimately I decided against staying after attempting to check in. After checking in I was handed keys to my room. I made my way through the terrible smelling hallways to arrive at a room which was not the room that I had booked and pre paid for through a third party site. When I went back down to notify them of this the a girl came from the back room and said that that room wasn't available. I showed her my booking on my phone which included photos of the room booked an paid for. She said 'we would never give that room away for that price'. This is completely irrelevant as this is the price I was quoted and the price I had already paid. She insisted that I couldn't have that room as It should cost more. Again irrelevant as I had already purchased the room for this price. I told her she needed to take it up with the third party site who are offering discounts on the room. She went to the back room and them out came the owner. He was rude, aggressive and lacked massively in self awareness. He opened with he's not going to have people speaking like this with staff... Like what I asked. He said she was upset... Ok, over what exactly? He couldn't tell me. I asked if his cameras covered the reception area and urged him to take a look and he would see the a very calm and respectful conversation. He would also see a poorly trained receptionist with zero customer service skills although that wasn't surprising after seeing the approach of the owner. I read other reviews of the hotel afterwards and saw a lot of similar reviews calling out, aggressive and rude behaviours from the owner and the 'hostile staff'. I asked the owner if this was how he spoke to all of his customers and I was met with a blank expression. Th owner gave a different reason as to why I could not have the room which I had booked and paid for and that was that it wasn't serviced. The receptionist said she had offered me 'a perfectly good room' Its laughable that I would have had to explain to her so times that while that may be the case it wasn't the room I had booked. I had to use an analogy to get through to her. I asked her if she paid 50K for a new car only to arrive to pick it up and you get a car worth 20K would she be happy? The sales person says 'but this is a perfectly good car'. I asked her would she except this? I was just met with silence. I showed them both that I could book the exact same room on my phone for the same price for the next night. I asked her if I did that and returned tomorrow would we be having the same conversation?? As In would I be again refused the room because the price I would pay would be too low.. Again I was met with a blank expression. I could go on here but I wont. You should avoid this hotel at all costs. Such was the level of hostility, complete absence of any costumer service skills, and zero appetite to resolve the situation I chose not to stay. I would have slept in

This is a quaint hotel in a nice countryside setting. While the hotel is a little dated, the surrounding gardens give you a sense of peace and tranquility. The restaurant food is very good and the service staff are quite responsive and friendly.
