"This is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel."

GGuest UserThe room was great, and my dorm mates were all very quiet. The common area is separate from the sleeping quarters, so singing karaoke there won't disturb anyone. The common area also has hot water, daily free drinks, and even mahjong. It's located in a bustling area, not far from the subway or tourist attractions, and the neighborhood feels safe. The female toilets and showers are separate, which I really appreciate. This is definitely one of my favorite hostels.

The room was spacious and clean, and both beds were quite large; my child and I could easily share one. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks and snacks, and there was even a card reminding guests that these were complimentary! The environment was simply amazing. Located right in the ancient town, the guesthouse has many rooms, all with a classic, antique feel, and peonies everywhere. It will probably be even more beautiful in spring when the flowers bloom! The complimentary Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) experience and lacquer fan making were a huge hit with the kids! Breakfast was different every day, ensuring everyone was well-fed. They also offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off service, and the driver was incredibly punctual, ensuring we weren't late!
If I have the chance, I'd love to come back again when it's warmer!

WWanderor AmyIt's really hard to book a hotel in Luoyang during the Peony Festival. I rarely stay in B&Bs when I travel alone because I often find issues with management and facilities. However, apart from having fewer rooms, Meng Gong is pretty much like a hotel. The rooms are large, beautiful, and well-laid out. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation. China National Flower Garden is less than 2KM on foot. Peony Park, Xiyuan Park, White Horse Temple, and Longmen Grottoes are all directly accessible by bus, and the buses aren't usually crowded. The only exception was the day I went to White Horse Temple; I had to stand for all 29 stops. Breakfast isn't provided, but there are breakfast shops at the end of the alley on Happiness Street. The food is good, though the environment is just average.

GGuest UserGaLa Homestay is located right inside Lijing Gate, and stepping out, you're immediately on the snack street – super convenient! The owners are incredibly nice and friendly. They also have adorable pets, a dog named Cola and a cat named Fanta, who are very affectionate. The complimentary cocktail from GaLa Pub was also delicious! Although the homestay is within the scenic area, it's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The decor is very cozy, and the hygiene is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Luoyang!

The surprise of the trip to Luoyang, the ancient capital, half came from the landscape and humanities, and the other half belonged to the 13-house hotel on the ramp. This designer hotel hidden in Luolong District has subverted my expectations of accommodation from the moment I stepped into the courtyard.
The location is the golden coordinates of cultural tourism, and the travel is convenient to impeccable. You can walk into the Sui and Tang Botanical Garden in five minutes. You can enjoy peony in spring and ginkgo in autumn. The four seasons can be hidden privately. Five minutes drive to Luoyang Museum to touch history, 13 minutes direct to Longmen Grottoes, and seven minutes drive to catch the high-speed rail, no need to worry about traffic. You can park at the entrance of the hotel, it is too friendly to self-driving tourists, the surrounding environment is also very quiet, and there is still quiet when you rest at night.
The environment is elegant and Zen in the bones. The entrance is first the mist water system flowing, the flowers, grass, fish and birds dotted it, and the spirit show in the water town of Jiangnan instantly came to my face. The all-wood decoration is matched with the master calligraphy and painting on the wall, and the corridor is full of good smells. Every place is like the setting in the art gallery. Especially like the outdoor attic, overlooking the Wangcheng Bridge with the railing, the wide view makes people instantly relieve the fatigue of the journey, and the top floor terrace is a great place to drink tea and empty.
The details of the room are full of care and quality. The smart home system in the whole house can switch to read, romantic and other modes. Dyson hair dryer, jasmine toiletries, Evian mineral water, are exquisite everywhere. The brand bedding is so soft that people are ”addicted to sleep”. Some room types have bathtubs and bath salts, with free tea bags and snacks, take a bath before going to bed and drink a cup of hot milk prepared by the hotel. The happiness is directly full. Hygiene is impeccable, the bedding towels are clean and refreshing, even the toothbrush is hairy and does not hurt the gums, the details are in the real chapter.
The service is warm enough to make people remember. Before check-in, someone called in advance to confirm the demand, and took the initiative to turn on the heating, and just entered the room to warm up. The front desk lady patiently answered all questions, the waiter also took the initiative to send hot water and fruit, butler service is worthy of the name [__LINK_ICON].
The dining experience is even more unexpected. Breakfast is authentic Chinese flavor, buns, porridge, fried noodles are all available, and a free cup of Pu'er tea and coffee is also available, and there is even free ice cubes in summer. The dinner table ritual is full, the abalone, Liao ginseng and other ingredients are fresh, and the secret marinade tastes great. Dining in the Soviet-style courtyard-like environment, taste buds and visual satisfaction.
I have stayed in many hotels in Luoyang, and the 13 houses of the ramp have become my first choice with strength.

The moment I arrived, the archway and moon-shaped lamp design immediately captivated me. The greenery and fallen leaves in the courtyard perfectly captured the autumnal ambiance, making me feel like I'd stumbled into a secluded little courtyard. 🌿 The exterior walls and the wooden beams on the roof exuded style, and the terrace outside the room was perfect for sunbathing; the rattan chairs were incredibly comfortable. The rooms were also thoughtfully furnished, with the tea table and vintage items adding a touch of warmth, and even the smallest details conveyed a sense of relaxation. The reception area, though simply furnished, was very clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay.
Overall, it's a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle, slowing down the pace of life – perfect for those seeking tranquility!

ZZJwjp1965I stayed at the Huayang International Hotel in April 2017 when I came to Luoyang to see the peonies, and I was very impressed: excellent service, and the food on the second floor was fantastic (especially the braised carp, it was so delicious)... So when I returned to Luoyang, I chose the Huayang International Hotel again. Time has passed, and I can understand that the door frames in the room show some wear and tear. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and asked me to select 21 kinds of fruit (complimentary from the hotel), saying they would be delivered to my room in 40 minutes. I carefully made my selections, but to my surprise, a plate of fruit arrived less than 5 minutes after I got to my room. After unwrapping it and counting carefully, if you count each small tomato as one type, there were only about 12 varieties – nowhere near 21. I hadn't even checked 'pear,' so it seemed like this fruit was already prepared beforehand. I mentioned it to the front desk when I went out, and when I returned to my room before dinner, another plate was delivered, making it 21 varieties. However, aside from the bananas and small tomatoes, which were acceptable, the apples and nectarines tasted terrible – sour and astringent. I took one bite and had to throw them away, which was a waste and a shame. I suggest the hotel avoids playing number games and instead focuses on providing a few genuinely good-tasting fruits. Is that so hard? The room's cleanliness was excellent. For dinner, I wanted to order the braised Yellow River carp on the second floor, but I was told it needed to be reserved in advance and that all the carp were 4-5 jin (2-2.5 kg). There were only two of us; could we possibly finish a 4-5 jin fish? The next evening, I had a braised Yellow River carp, about 2 jin, at a small restaurant near Yingtiangate. Around 4 PM on my second day, a lovely staff member delivered a hand-drawn map of Luoyang's attractions. It showed the hotel's thoughtfulness, but wasn't it a bit late to deliver? The breakfast was quite abundant; the scallion pancakes were fragrant and tasty, but the beef pancakes were just average. The complimentary shuttle service to the high-speed train station was a thoughtful touch.

GGuest UserDecided to try out one of their unique room types. The room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly well-equipped. The little courtyard was so relaxing, and having a private hot spring tub was a real bonus! My child absolutely loved it. The butler was also fantastic, responding to messages 24/7 almost instantly. The front desk lady was very kind, and they even offered a pick-up and drop-off service. The staff member who drove us was handsome and had a great attitude – my husband even commented that his voice sounded like Wang Yibo's! Overall, a great experience and definitely worth checking out.

GGuest UserStaying at the Friendship Hotel in Luoyang was such a great experience! It's steeped in history, with many national leaders having stayed there. The staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was abundant. They even gave us complimentary snacks, yogurt, and white fungus soup, and there was plenty of purified water on our floor. The room was clean and spacious – I was very satisfied!
Special shout-out to the waitress at the second-floor restaurant who found my forgotten bag and called me to pick it up.
My only minor complaints are that the panoramic elevator going up to the second-floor restaurant had a strange odor, and there were quite a few small flying insects when we were dining in private room 212. I hope these can be improved.
