Taizhou Hotels with Bars

Cao Su almost satisfied all my imaginations of a secluded countryside, with a quiet village, trickling water, stone walls and green tiles, and bamboo forests rustling in the wind. Unlike Beijing, where I live, the mild and humid countryside in the south of the Yangtze River touched me almost instantly. Back to Cao Su, the owner Shuicao is enthusiastic and gentle, the aunt in the store is kind and amiable, and the two dogs in the yard, Xiaohei and Heijian, are extremely smart and well-behaved. The best mornings and nights here are when you can stroll around the village or sit in the yard and read after eating the healthy breakfast prepared by the aunt in the morning. At night, you can listen to the chirping of insects and lie on a recliner to watch the stars in the sky. Returning to nature is really realized here. This morning, I left the store and returned to Beijing. Xiaohei and the aunt were not sent to the village entrance by me. I think I will come back, because Cao Su not only has scenery, but more importantly, it has human touch.

📍 Fantastic Ambiance: The 539-year-old camphor tree in the hotel's courtyard is an absolute ”treasure of the house.” Its lush green stature gives the hotel a unique historical charm. A morning stroll under the tree makes time feel like it slows down. 💁 Top-Notch Service: The butler service deserves a huge shout-out! Their response time was incredibly fast, truly ”answering every question.” They not only offered great travel advice but also meticulously arranged our daily needs, which was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming. 🥣 Dining Experience: Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, featuring all local specialties. We didn't need to search for guides to enjoy authentic Linhai flavors, starting the day off with great energy. The evening bar service was also good, with well-made cocktails. The reading room had a wonderful, quiet, and elegant atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. 📝 Minor Drawback: Just a small suggestion – while the bar's service and drinks are excellent, there isn't a non-smoking section. This slightly detracts from the experience for non-smoking guests. Overall, the minor flaw doesn't overshadow the positives. It's a hotel with warmth and style, and I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Linhai!

The location is easy to find, parking is convenient, and the room is clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable, and the soundproofing is also good. The service staff are enthusiastic, and check-in and check-out are efficient. The breakfast offers a rich variety and tastes great. This hotel is suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Wenling.

Here's the takeaway: excellent facilities, but just okay service – a bit of a shame overall. The hotel's public areas, rooms, and pool are very stylish and make for great photos. They've paid attention to the details too: bath salts, disposable bath liners, foot bath basins, multi-purpose charging cables, and wireless charging are all provided, making for a very convenient stay. However, breakfast was a real disappointment. The only highlight was the fresh-squeezed juice; everything else was mediocre. We came to Taizhou specifically for the local glutinous delicacies, and yet, despite egg mochi and other items being clearly advertised on a billboard above the restaurant, none were available when we asked. If they can't provide them, why advertise them and get people's hopes up? Service-wise, the cleaning staff and the pool receptionists were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the front desk staff had a poker face throughout, which was a stark contrast to the warm environment and lowered our first impression. In summary: It's great for photos and relaxation, but don't come here expecting a fantastic breakfast or warm service. I'd suggest the hotel focus more on improving breakfast and staff training at the front desk; otherwise, even the best facilities won't be enough to build a good reputation.

The room was large and new! It's on a high floor, giving you a panoramic view of everything below. Highly recommended! You'll need to ask the front desk for toiletries, just give them a call and they'll bring them up. If you run out of water, just ask for more! A special shout-out to Eva for her very patient service. I arrived at the hotel quite late, so I didn't get to experience most of its special features. Pros: 1. The hotel and room decor are tastefully done and the style is very appealing. 2. The bedding quality is excellent, with a high thread count, making it incredibly comfortable – a rare find in China. Cons: 1. The room signage is pretty poor; finding my way back to the room often felt like navigating a maze. 2. The staff-to-guest ratio is extremely low. Arriving in the evening, there was practically no service available. 3. The check-in wait time was excessively long. Given that it wasn't peak check-in time and there weren't many guests, this was quite unusual. 4. Despite checking in late, my request for a late checkout was denied with the reason 'fully booked.' Perhaps I've been spoiled by other hotels, but I don't think checking out at 2 PM is an unreasonable request. Even if the hotel is full, internal coordination could surely accommodate guest needs. Using this as a refusal only makes me feel the hotel's management is subpar, and I see no reason to return to see if their service has improved. 5. Breakfast was quite mediocre. The croissants were delicious, but everything else was just okay. The only live cooking station for noodles managed to produce something identical to instant ramen.

Its a large complex. Lots of walking to and from things. But it still maintains charm. The rooms and materials, I found excellent. The hot spring section is nice place to hangout in the cool mountain air evenings. Hot springs don’t go above 38 Celsius though which was a bit disappointing, but still a good experience. I appreciated the late checkout at 2pm. The breakfast is a loud and rowdy affair. OK food. Walking distance to Guoqing Temple which was a great visit, although crowded like everything in China. O

We just checked out today, and honestly this was one of the best experiences I’ve had in China. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He even upgraded us to a bigger room with a beautiful terrace, a higher floor, and an amazing view, which made our stay even more special. What touched us the most was how they treated us like guests, not just customers. They invited us to have dinner together, and we spent the evening eating, chatting, and playing games. It felt very warm and authentic. They also paid attention to every detail. They asked us what time we usually wake up and when we would like breakfast, and in the morning they brought a delicious breakfast directly to our room. As a foreigner who has been living in China for two years, this is honestly the first time I have felt so comfortable, welcomed, and connected with local people during a stay. It was a wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a warm, genuine, and memorable experience.

When I checked in, I realized my booking didn't include breakfast. Since it wasn't a holiday, I asked the front desk if they could arrange two breakfasts for us. The staff just flat out told me, 'We haven't provided complimentary breakfast for over half a year, so no.' I was thinking, 'Wow, that's quite a stance!' At other five-star hotels I've stayed at, as long as it's not a holiday, a simple request to the front desk for two breakfasts is usually accommodated – we wouldn't even ask during holidays. Their 'we haven't served breakfast in six months' line genuinely made me chuckle sarcastically. I didn't bother arguing further. They didn't even upgrade our room. Honestly, this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and the staff's attitude was just something else.

The decoration style of the room is consistent with the picture. I like it very much. The various facilities are beautifully arranged. The sanitation is very clean, so you can stay at ease. The B&B is located inside the scenic area. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, and there are sightseeing buses to pick you up and drop you off. Xiao Yu at the front desk is very enthusiastic and gives people the feeling of reuniting with old friends. The whole check-in process is pleasant and reassuring. The B&B is very close to major tourist attractions. The transportation is convenient. It is recommended as the first choice for travel. I will come again next time.
