"La verdad es que todo estuvo estupendo. Nos encantó tanto la parte del hotel como la del balneario; estuvimos muy cómodos y agusto. La habitación era preciosa, la cama muy cómoda y el baño estaba perfectamente equipado. Los alrededores del hotel son preciosos y el parking es amplio, disponible a cualquier hora. El personal fue muy amable en todo momento.
El balneario cuenta con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de una hora de relax.
Lo único que no nos gustó fue que, en toda las páginas web de reservas, aparece que el desayuno cuesta 8,50 € por persona, pero nos cobraron 12 € por persona. Sería recomendable que actualizaran esa información."

Vicci Consulado de Bilbao has a fantastic location—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. It’s perfect for exploring Bilbao on foot.
The room itself was stylish and clean, though quite compact. If you’re traveling light, it’s fine, but space is definitely tight. One funny (and slightly painful) moment: I actually fell off the bed! It’s positioned close to the wall and a bit narrow, so maybe not ideal if you toss and turn at night.
Despite that, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the hotel was modern and welcoming. I’d recommend it for solo travelers or couples who don’t mind a snug space and want to be in the middle of the action.

JJimmy _ValenciaWe had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe lady at the front desk was very friendly and enthusiastic when we checked in, asking if we needed a map and briefly explaining the surrounding routes.
The water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, and switching between the showerhead settings required some guesswork.
Breakfast had a decent variety of choices.
It's only about a ten-minute walk from the Guggenheim Museum and the airport bus stop. It would have been better if they had provided information about the airport bus service being suspended on May 1st, as we checked out on Labor Day and waited at the bus stop for over half an hour for nothing.

I was highly impressed by the spotless cleanliness and the high level of comfort in the rooms. Despite being near the airport and a major highway, the hotel is remarkably quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. The free parking is a significant bonus for those with a rental car.
The service was consistently efficient and professional, from a smooth check-in to a quick checkout. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate, offering a solid variety of hot and cold items to fuel your day.
My only minor niggle is that the hotel feels a bit overpriced compared to other nearby options. However, you are clearly paying for the sheer convenience, reliability, and those specific perks like free parking.
If your priority is a comfortable, quiet, and hassle-free stay right by the airport, this hotel delivers perfectly.

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my 1 night here and was very good for a hostel . Beds were comfy and private and bathrooms were lovely and clean . The staff were super helpful and accommodating and was such a social hub with things to do each night and makes it much easier for meeting people while travelling . The breakfast was a great deal too and luggage storage was super helpful .
As well as popping in and out of ther hub area even after I had left . Felt very looked after and will be coming back

HHosanChoose the hotel for its proximity to the Intermodal bus interchange. We walked to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Bilbao is a very walkable city.
What sets this hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. The front counter team is genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noemi who went out of her way to help us and gave advice on airline lost luggage.
The room is spacious for our needs. The king bed is super comfortable, with just the right firmness. Linen is plush and pillows are fluffy. It has a simple yet functional tea-making facility in the room. The room came with USB charger by bedside, which is essential for today's travellers.
We love the bathroom. Well-lit, full-size shower with strong water pressure. You will find the basic amenities (Toothbrush etc) in the bathroom.
The cleaner did a good job with the room. The hall and public areas are all spotless. Judging based on the interior, the hotel might have been refurbished not that long ago.
