"This lodge was absolutely gorgeous and had amazing panoramic views from the ocean to the top of Mt. Rinjani. The garden is lush and colorful and full of butterflies, dragonflies and swifts. Staff were very kind to us and the food was generally yummy though somewhat expensive compared to other restaurants nearby. The resort is an easy walk to the nearby waterfalls as well as Rinjani trailhead, but there is not much around the area. Swimming pools were nice. Our showers didn't have much water pressure and we could only get hot water to work in one bathroom. The rooms are nicely designed though and comfortable.
The only criticism I have about the dining is that they charged us for waters at meals when the water was free for guests if we just filled up our own bottles. Also, i would suggest that the staff empty out decorative containers that collect water as we saw some mosquito larvae inside them."

"The view is chic. Bed is comfortable. The only thing is a problem with hot water. The water was hard enough for one person. The second never waited until it warmed up.
The staff is very polite, everything we needed has been received. There is a restaurant on the territory. The food is delicious.
The air conditioner is not in the house, it was not hot in the evening, only the fan was turned on. It was normal."

EEn_eddyNice resort hotel. Everything is good. The only thing is not perfect is the breakfast only let people choose 1 option. I believe is good at least let the guest can choose 2 types like eggs/fruits and main . They only let guests to choose 1 option and this is very less and not considerate.

AAisha SamadRoyal Avila was incredible—easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Although we had activities planned for our 3-day, 2-night stay, we ended up spending most of our time at the hotel. I highly recommend staying in and making the most of the fantastic facilities, including the jacuzzi, spa, beach club, swimming pool, and gym. Special mention to Lola, Hafizin, Lalu, and Abdul Haq for their amazing service—they truly made our stay even more enjoyable. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, I was completely captivated. I will definitely be returning and would recommend it to all my friends and family.

GGuest UserJUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST HOTEL.
While the hotel's facilities are adequate and its location offers acceptable proximity to the port, the poor service we experienced did not justify the significantly higher price we paid for a supposedly four-star resort.
Specifically, the bidet in our assigned room was not functioning. When we reported this, a front office supervisor named Ute was demonstrably dishonest, claiming that all rooms had non-functional bidets due to a 'western style' and offering more toilet tissue as a solution. This excuse proved false when we checked several other rooms of the same type and found their bidets to be working perfectly. Upon confronting Ute with this discrepancy, she continued to deny her initial statement, offering unreasonable excuses and failing to provide any apology or resolution. It was only after escalating the issue to the Manager on duty that we were finally moved to another room with a functioning bidet. The fact that a HOTEL SUPERVISOR LIED to keep us in a room with a known issue while others were available is unacceptable.
Despite the convenient location, I cannot recommend this hotel due to the substandard service and lack of transparency. There are likely other establishments in the area that offer a far superior experience for the price.

JJemmaPriyaChrisWe spent 4 nights at Jambuluwuk, was a really nice hotel and the rooms were spotless, however the pool areas weren't maintained very well- i know nature can't be helped but other resorts in Indonesia have staff cleaning the pools regularly to keep them looking nice. The pool bars never seemed to have staff there and overall the pool areas could just do with a bit of a refresh. Our 4 year old daughter did enjoy the play play park and animals arouns the resort. It was pretty expensive for bike rental (most places give free bikes in Gili for guests) and being on the quieter side of the island this was disappointing, especially as when I asked for a child seat I was told they only had one which was already being used (and would cost extra). You can however rent bikes for around 50k a day if you walk just outside. Mask rental was also fairly expensive compared to other places so would recommend just walking down the road a little bit. The beach om the front of the hotel is nice, good for sunset and snorkelling. For the price we paid we were happy but probably wouldn't stay again because of the distance to the busy area/ pools not being maintained.

GGuest UserMixed feelings — kind staff but disappointing overall.
First of all, a big thank you to the hotel staff, who were genuinely kind and attentive throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the issue isn’t the people — it’s the property itself. The photos online look beautiful, but in reality, the finishes and details just don’t match the pictures. Everything feels a bit cheap and unfinished.
For example, the pool area has small sofas but no cushions, so you can’t really relax comfortably by the water. In the rooms, several things were off — cracked flooring, a broken window, missing door handles (you have to lock the door from inside or outside every time), and other small issues that really add up. Considering the price, it’s quite disappointing, especially when there are nicer hotels nearby for less money.
We stayed in the Villa Fuego, which, as you can see on Google Maps, is located right next to the road — meaning it’s noisy, with scooters constantly passing by. It completely breaks the idea of a quiet, romantic getaway in a “private villa.” It’s a real shame, because the staff do their best, but the overall experience doesn’t live up to the expectations or the price.
Sadly, despite the warm hospitality, we left feeling that this stay was not worth it.

NNomadic cyclistLoads of potential and most of the staff are friendly and try their best. The resort could focus on training their employees so that they can deliver services on a more higher level. They are able to do their jobs but it's very basic and doesn't fit the brand image that they are trying to portray. The food quality was not of high standard and when the hotel is not full they cold probably provide a set menu for breakfast. It may not be as good at first, but for reducing food wastage and food related health it could be beneficial. Our stomachs weren't happy when we ate at the resort because of this. For staff, you can empower your workforce by rather having a few people who are highly skilled but in a variety of areas. Maybe doing family weekends and have a kids club going to get younger families witih kids under 12 to come, as I feel like this is a great resort for young families since the beach is calm and the pools are set up like that. There is a massive area on the one side of the common area that could possibly have a play area with a little crafts centre going. The location is far from most places so if the resort focused on uplifting this would probably help a lot. It really has a lot of potential.

XxcratLocation is good, thats why i chose this hotel. Its not on the main street. But Im solo guy so this is best for me. Near to jetty and near to one and only night market and main night life area and all cafes. Hotel offers bikes rental and day trips with reasonable price. Its good enough for solo or couple who would go for diving for few days on the island. If u r in gili for more than 2 days, I’d suggest u go north to explore better hotels and different experiences on the island or meno or air would be for you. Very near to the beach for sun rise as well. Bfast is superb and other meals as well. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Pool is normal but they managed to use for the available space for it. Close to local mosque but they do provide some kinda ear plugs for that. But its just few mins during the day. Highly recommended. You cant expect very good hotels on the island with less crowded crowd and this is good enough for few days esp when its close to the jetty to leave.

IIrina AlIn general, the view from the room to the pool is quite decent. Very good audibility. If you want to relax and one of the guests is having fun in the pool, then you will not be able to.
Breakfasts are delicious: omelet + tea / local coffee.
You have to ask for a bottle of water per day.
The staff is very lazy. They spend most of their working time on their phones. At 6 am they start scrubbing with brooms, waking you up. We had to ask for room cleaning. And they are reluctant to clean. Pillows are moldy. We asked to change them. Towels are also changed upon request. There is a restaurant from the hotel. They do not give discounts to residents. We went to another restaurant.
The location is fine for a few days.
They will immediately start offering you bikes and boat excursions around three islands. You can find cheaper prices by walking along the main street of the island.

GGuest UserMixed Experience at Royal Regantris Villa Karang.
I've stayed at this hotel twice, opting for the modern rooms. While the location is excellent – across from the beach and near the harbor – my experience was marred by some issues.
Cleanliness was average, with signs that the room could benefit from a deep clean. I found mould in the fridge, dirt around the shelves, and a noticeable stain on the floor that was missed during mopping.
Unfortunately, my stay was further tainted by a dishonest staff member who intentionally overcharged me for an iced latte. When I questioned the price, she acknowledged it was expensive without correcting the issue. To make matters worse, she gave me the wrong change. The next day, another staff member quoted a significantly lower price for the same drink.
While most staff members were polite and helpful, the presence of at least one dishonest employee is concerning. The food was hit-or-miss, but the hotel's location and some friendly staff aren't enough to outweigh the negative experiences.
I'll think twice before staying here again, and I hope the hotel addresses these issues to provide a better experience for future guests.
