MMarie de MendoncaI must admit, The Ambassador hotel surprised me. The restaurant and bar are top class! The barman can mix any cocktail you want as he is very experienced and well focused on the customers.
The bedrooms are reasonable and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it’s close to town and all the shops and restaurants.

GGuest UserThe location in the center of Haarlem is perfect; everything is within walking distance.
The room on the second floor at the front of the hotel was very dated!! Old furniture, poorly maintained, small bathroom; the shower door couldn't open completely because the sink was in the way.
There were two single beds, but the floor was sloped. I was with my girlfriend, and when we pushed the beds together, there was a height difference of over 5cm.
No breakfast (on Sunday).
There was a kettle in the room, but no coffee/tea or even cups!
No mini-fridge.
The price did not match what you would expect from a hotel.
Definitely not recommended!
