Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cartersville

The person who checked us in was ok. I had to go to the front several times during my stay and the other staff was always in the room behind the desk, on their phone and you had to get their attention. If you are working the front desk, you should pay attention. I asked for a washcloth (1 additional) and was told they didn't have any extra. The elevator has an unpleasant odor and looked as though it is never cleaned or wiped down. It makes concerning mechanical noises when in use- grinding noise and seems to pause in unusual spots as you go up. The room was not good. Everything looked very worn and the carpet was dirty. Water spots on the ceiling and a spot on the wall that looked like a burn mark that was painted over. The beside tables had bubbling and chips out of the finish. The bathroom was ok. The curtain was bit weird and didn't want to stay closed. The tub make creaking sounds when showering. The toilet was very short and looked like a kids potty and I was afraid it wasn't going to flush properly. The toilet paper was single ply and scratchy so I grabbed a pack in town. The parking lot seems small compared to the number of rooms they had. One of the hallway doors was propped open at night. I reported it to the desk and they didn't seem to care so I didn't feel safe. I think the property has potentional and could be a lot better, but this particular location seems to have many issues and I think staff/management doesn't care.

Overall pretty good but there was some mold in the shower, the elevator was shaky and the ice machine was broken. Staff was really nice!

The elevator and breakfast room smelled of dogs so bad, i had to ask for clean towels, my room wasn't clean the whole 5 days I was there. Went to change my own sheet behind the bed was trash the previous people had left

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was super quick and easy. Definitely will stay there again.

Check in desk was rude saying she was done. It would be 20 min b-4 next desk person could check me in. Couldn’t open computer to see my reservation was posted. She said I was rude. I finally gave up and husband came in with bags. Computer opened up and she was nice. Not sure what changed.

The room and lobby were very clean and well maintained. We accidentally left something and the front desk clerk was not very helpful or caring.

Didn’t feel clean but was just ok. Had a large deposit that was not mentioned before I booked. Just didn’t feel very safe and floors were so dirty scared to walk bare foot
