Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono Beppu

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right from the JR station platform. After exiting the station, it's just a two-minute walk across the street. There's a Lawson convenience store right outside the hotel to the left. Upon entering the hotel, you're required to remove your shoes (they can be stored in lockers), and the entire hotel is shoeless and very clean. The room isn't large but is perfectly adequate. The bed is small, and the pillow is firm but very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is great for families as it allows for simultaneous use without disturbance. On the 13th floor, there's a hot spring bath with both indoor and outdoor options, as well as private baths. No reservations are needed; you just go directly. If it's busy, you queue and wait; each person gets about 45 minutes. After soaking in the hot spring, there's free ramen and cold drinks available on the first floor at 10 PM. I really love the atmosphere of this hotel! The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the service is excellent. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can catch bus route 24 to Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) without having to walk back to the JR station.

I booked a random room, and the hotel gave me a Japanese-style twin room with tatami mats. It was very clean. The complimentary hot spring was very relaxing, with a large outdoor bath and seven private baths. They also offered free ramen at 10 PM, which tasted great.

Absolutely loved my stay here! I got to watch the sunrise, enjoy some ice cream, and relax in the onsen. The breakfast is a must-try – so rich and delicious! It's also close to the station, and you can easily walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants along the way. I really love Beppu; it's so peaceful and laid-back.

We stayed at this hotel in Beppu this time and I highly recommend it! The beds in the room were quite large; although it said 0.8m for a random room, it was actually 1.1m, which was great. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. You need a password to enter the women's onsen, but not for the men's. If there are a lot of people, you might have to wait for the private onsen. We arrived on a Sunday, so it wasn't too crowded, and the experience was fantastic! After soaking in the onsen, there are free cold drinks you can help yourself to, and at 10 PM, there are free noodles in the lobby on the first floor. This hotel seems to have a lot of Korean guests, and the front desk staff were very friendly. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!

This hotel has seven private hot springs, and I made sure to try each one. When I went, there were initially two empty ones, and after I used those, I moved on to the others until I had experienced all seven. There's also an eighth large hot spring, which felt like I had it all to myself – completely empty! So I enjoyed another soak there. They offer several types of shampoo, but the original one they provide is actually the best. The hotel also has seven hot spring pools, all modeled after natural springs. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby. They even post the sunrise times, and you can go up to watch it, though I missed it this morning. And they have Yakult! Anyway, everything was really great.

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The onsen had a great variety of baths and wasn't crowded at all. Breakfast was incredibly extensive, and they even offered free ramen in the evening! The value for money is outstanding. I'm already planning to bring my parents next time!

This is my second stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located right in front of Beppu Station and has a multi-story car park, costing a little over 1000 yen for 24 hours, with an extra 100 yen charge if you arrive early. Perhaps due to its prime location, it attracts a lot of tourists, so expect to queue for check-in around 3 PM. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a modern Japanese design – you even have to take your shoes off upon entering the lobby. Plus, there are 8 private onsens on the rooftop, which can get busy during peak hours. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
