"This hotel apartment was clean and bright. We were able to wear slippers indoors, and the bathroom had a wet/dry separation. It was fully equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, induction hob, pots, pans, and dishes. There's also a self-service drink machine on the ground floor. The beach is just a stone's throw away. It's a bit of a walk from Beppu Station, but manageable. Plus, there's a free hot spring on the top floor available after 10 PM."

"Very pleased with our one night stay at Beppu Daiiti Hotel. It was a short 5-minute walk to the Beppu Station. So convenient. Room was very clean and tidy and of a decent size. The staff at the counter were all so courteous and very helpful. Asked them about a private onsen where we could go and they recommended one and phoned to help us make reservations. Also gave us good info about Beppu Hells and the transportation we could take. If coming back to Beppu, we’ll surely book at this hotel again."

"I've stayed here before, and this time I brought a friend and booked a larger room. It's a historic inn, but the building and decor don't feel old at all. The Japanese-style room has a really nice vibe, and the smell of the tatami mats is so soothing. The room itself is incredibly spacious; I honestly think three or four people could comfortably stay in that one large tatami room. On the top floor, there's a hot spring with one indoor bath, a small outdoor bath, and a small sauna, all using natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but all the dishes are local specialties or popular items from Oita Prefecture, so you'll definitely eat well and feel full. The downstairs parking used to be free, but now it costs 700 yen per night."

"Good room and onsen. Staffs are responsive, helpful and friendly. Good shuttle service. Only downside during the stay is the unusually small beef (compared to others on the same table) during teppanyaki dinner. The cook even grimaced awkwardly when he prepared the beef as it is really obvious that my portion is MUCH smaller. Otherwise meals are okay."

"This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The 1st time was 10 years ago, the hotel guest rooms have renovated which is quite Modern. Love the new design. The Seaview is still spectacular. Bed and pillow are very comfortable. Onsan is located at basement , an highlight is there is Basket Robins ice cream machine is available 🙂 There is a night drink bar in the hotel at the lobby level, wines , coffee, soft drinks are served. Breakfast area is spacious , western & Japanese food are served, donuts, pancakes , noodles, vege drinks , all you can choose."

"Good but a bit ******. I have Japanese citizenship despite being of Caucasian ethnicity. The front desk employee asked me to submit a foreign resident ID without even confirming my nationality. Furthermore, Japanese citizens are not required to submit any ID. It was rude and concerning, as there are many non ethnically Japanese citizens in Japan. Other than that, the hotel was ok, nothing extraordinarily good though. Thanks for the service."

"I was a bit hesitant before booking, thinking the hotel might be a little old. However, it turned out to be the best of the three hotels I stayed at during my Kyushu trip. The breakfast was incredibly rich and deserves a special mention. The surrounding area is very convenient. The only downsides were that the elevators were often busy, and the step into the bathroom in the room could be difficult for elderly guests with mobility issues. On a side note, I had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and wasn't very satisfied. The service was slow and disorganized. I had to ring the bell many times before anyone came. The staff also didn't seem to know their own menu well. When it came to paying, I forgot if I could use the coupon the hotel provided, and the cashier didn't remind me. I feel like I missed out on a good deal."
