Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast

I started to make a list less than 24 hours into my stay because I was beyond giddy and beyond impressed. I’m not a religious person at all, but “God is in the details” and Dena is a miracle worker who doesn’t skip a beat!!! From the amazingly soft sheets, the electric fireplace, the beautiful robes, the reusable water bottles, any toiletry kit you might need, a stocked kitchen with flashlights/bug spray/aloe vera/honey sticks for coffee/to-go cups, the best smelling shampoo, and many more!! I was just STUNNED at what an amazing oasis this was. The employees, and of course, Dena, were beyond nice and friendly, as well as the other guests. I went for a solo birthday weekend and had to take a mug/robe home with me! Dena even did a very nice and special gesture when she found out it was my birthday. I even extended my trip to stay longer. The history is rich, the facilities are updated and yet still have the necessary old charm, and the breakfasts are great. I will be back 100 more times - especially for fall and winter heaven Added bonus: It is a kid-free zone THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️

We booked three rooms at Caldwell House for our daughter's wedding nearby. Our room (Antrim) was very comfortable, and we appreciated the lovely grounds. Breakfast was very tasty, and I was pleased to have a wide selection of teas. My daughter, who has celiac disease, said that the gluten-free breakfasts were excellent. We also booked the bridal suite so that six of us could get our hair and makeup done before the wedding, and the room had good lighting, a full-length mirror, and plenty of seating.

We had a wonderful stay at the Caldwell House. The grounds were beautiful. The room was great. It was very relaxing. It was a wonderful ninth anniversary for me and my wife. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway. Alan

This was our second stay at the caldwell house and both stays were fantastic! We stayed in the Harmony Hill room for the large soaking tub and electric fireplace. Plus king size bed. Upon entering the room it smelled like you were at the spa. Candies next to the bed were a sweet touch. There's always a basket of snacks left for guests as well. Breakfast is delicious always. Fruit and yogurt, Danish, egg and veggies souffle, potatoes, and bacon on day 1. Day 2 was fruit, scones, scrambled eggs, sausage, and cinnamon bun waffles. Dena is friendly and accommodating. Our stays have been quiet, peaceful, romantic and relaxing. We can't wait to return to the caldwell house!!!! Thank you, Dena and staff!

This was such a relaxing trip, where we would definitely stay again! John and Dena are so accommodating and nice. The breakfast was amazing each day… Dena home makes everything each morning! The room was great and very clean. The location is also amazing… it’s secluded enough but has everything very close by.

Everything about the Caldwell House and our Cliffs of Mohr room was wonderful! The bed was SO comfortable...we didn't want to get out of it. The breakfasts were out of this world and Dena, Dawn and Katie went out of their way to make us feel at home.
