Great stay! Location is excellent, rooms were clean, friendly staff. The rooftop restaurant was fantastic - we snacked around at various places and were shocked that the hotel restaurant/bar was as good as the local places! The Asian dumplings were killer snd the bar tender made me a fantastic espresso martini off-menu. The balcony rooms were a nice touch, super fun to watch the train go by. Great walkable location.

We had a great weekend. Everything we wanted to do was pretty close. The further we had to travel was just under a hour.

A pleasant surprise. The room was up to date and immaculate. The staff was incredibly helpful. Have now become a Hilton customer from being an IHG customer based on this experience.

Staff were kind and professional and you couldn't ask for a better location. Pretty great spot overall, but when my son started sneezing upon arrival we checked the filters in the wall climate control unit and they were pretty dirty. Not nasty, but definitely not clean. The bedding smelled less than fresh as well. Overall, I haven't been as impressed with Hampton Inn hotels my last few stays as I recall about a decade ago.

The hotel in general was good, for the most part. The exterior room doors and windows are of poor quality and allowed external noises to permeate the living quarters, making it very difficult to fall asleep.
The pros of being close to everything wonderful in town are great.

We booked at Hampton Inn, rather than a mountain cabin like we usually do, because we were riding the train on this trip and no one is more convenient to the train than Hampton Inn.
Our favorite part of the experience was the wonderful Breakfast Manager (sorry I can't recall her name), but she was perfect for that position.
There were a few complaints: we had to ask to have our room cleaned and get clean towels; the soap dispenser in the shower was empty; and the alarm clock had not been reset since time change weeks ago, I guess. And guests cannot set the time on it.
But those were just nit-picking.
Overall, a good stay, and we will likely be back.

Very lovely place to stay in Blue Ridge right near the action. Staff was extremely friendly and common area very cozy. Rooms were comfortable. Wish the restaurant had more vegetarian and fish options
