Perfect
AAnonymous UserI want to start by sincerely thanking the uncle who works at this homestay for all his hospitality and attention. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were very well treated and taken care of. I will definitely remember our stay in Wangxian and hopefully come back to see the uncle.
My partner and I visited from Canada and I speak very little mandarin. Despite this, the uncle and the other residents of the neighborhood were very patient and helpful when communicating.
The check-in process was electronic. You scan the uncleâs QR code with your WeChat and register your information. For foreigners, it would be helpful to have WeChat running before arriving. The check-in was in Chinese, but I just screenshot the page and translated it and had no problems.
We stayed in room 301, it was a double room and true to the pictures. The cleanliness was good and it was quite confortable. There are large windows for lots of sun. The water is hot and the AC is functional, no complaints.
The homestay is very well located about a 10 minute drive from the Wangxian scenic area, and roughly an hour from Shangrao station. In the vicinity, there are many restaurants and a little supermarket.
Since it was quiet the night we checked-in, the uncle took us to visit the town nearby and gave us lots of recommendations for our visit such as going to the scenic area in the afternoon, and staying until the lights come on to see the night view.
We had dinner in the neighbourâs restaurant as recommended by the uncle. The food was home-cooked and the quantities were generous. Although we ate at the neighbourâs, the uncle also has some food and beverages you can buy, as well as some tables where you can eat.
Later in the evening, the uncle and neighbours invited us to sit with them and we shared some great moments together.
The next morning, the uncle had prepared a very typical Chinese breakfast for us to try. We then went up to the scenic area around midday and came back around 7pm. When we came back, we had dinner in the neighbourâs restaurant again and shared some more moments with them.
The uncle and neighbours helped us coordinate transportation to our next location and gave us recommendations to better enjoy our next destination which we followed and it turned out great thanks to them.
The community is what makes this place charming and I recommend it to anyone.

__WeChat297766****I just booked a B&B casually, but it exceeded my expectations! From the moment we got off the bus, the boss gave us a warm welcome, helped us with our luggage, planned our itinerary, and even prepared snacks. The room is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the response to problems is very fast. Thumbs up for the boss's service. The room is clean and fresh, and the location is close to the entrance of the scenic area, which is very nice. The price/performance ratio is quite high. There is not much traffic in the scenic area now, and I am having a great time~

HHkabuqinuoTravel to Shangrao during the holiday đ
The high-speed rail at night that rushed to Sanqing Mountain to Shangrao was more than eight o'clock
Their home looked good in the room selected online one day in advance! I also compared a few to see that his home is cost-effective, mainly opened in 25 years, and the environmental facilities may be better!
Take a taxi directly to the hotel for about 60 kilometers. It is more expensive to take a taxi at night. It is recommended to go to the bus early to make a bus đ more than 40 people! Or find a carpool at the high-speed rail station for about fifty or sixty people! If you drive about an hour and a half of the whole high speed, there will be some motion sickness on the mountain road. Pay attention to âźď¸
The hotel is located very close to the Sands Cableway for more than ten minutes and can store your luggage in the morning. The hotel is quite big and clean. We stayed for one night and it was already more than ten o'clock when we checked in. We will prepare you to the store for the fruit. The room facilities are relatively complete, disposable toiletries are available, tea bags and coffee are also available, and the service is still very warm. There is breakfast in the morning, and you can eat more if you climb the mountain. Because I arrived late, the room photo was not taken. The following is the hotel sent but it is similar to the actual stay. It is relatively new and good!
GGuest UserThe owner is very nice. We communicated via Wechat and the translation in the app helps the communication went through perfectly. The location is very nice as it's only 5 minutes drive to Wangxiangu and the owner was ready to drop us off and take us back just by texting him. We stay on the second floor. The amenities there are all we need. I like that there is a heater in the bathroom so that we don't get too cold while showering. The owner's mom took care of our breakfast. She cooked yummy dishes for us including hot vegan noodle soup which helps warming our body in a cold morning.
However, the bathroom's sink is clogged with something that looks like leftover or vomit...so we tried not to use the sink.
The worst thing of our stay is the transportation between Shangrao Station to the hostel. The owner offered us a pick-up and drop-off services which we will get a lower rate from the regular taxi service, so we accepted it. He didn't mention that it's going to be a shared ride until we found out ourselves that we needed to take a ride with 4 more people in the van, however, we're ok with that because of an affordable rate. Then we found it the worst riding experience in our life. As Shangrao is a small city with 2 lanes all along, the driver had always been trying to get ahead of the cars in the front and hitting his horn throughout 1 hour to the hostel which almost caused the accident. I was praying all the way. Nevertheless, on our trip back to Shangrao Station, the same driver took us there with his same style of driving and eventually an accident occurred! Our car was hit by another and we almost missed our train to another city. We almost had no doubt why we get hit Lol. The good thing is the driver called another car(with full of passengers) to pick up up to the station. We like the hostel but sadly we don't think we will ever go back to this city again...such a lift-time experience we got.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI opted for one of their newly opened rooms for this stay. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring I slept soundly right until dawn. What I particularly loved was the Huipai architectural style, with its classic white walls, dark tiled roofs, and charmingly arranged courtyards. The subtle aroma of tea permeated the air, instantly putting me at ease.

Very Good
GGuest UserDisappointing stay here. We had no choice but to extend our stay because it was Chinese new year and very difficult to find another place to stay and also my husband was sick so we had to change our plans and stay an extra night so he could rest.
The place smelled like smoke everywhere. We have a baby with us and wanted a smoke free place. Despite the signs in the lobby saying No Smoking, people were smoking there and the front desk people didnât care. The towels in our room had ashes on them and smelled like smoke. They were also ripped and badly needed to be replaced. (We got a smoke free room and learned on our trip that all they do for smoke free rooms is open the windows to air it out before you arrive. đ¤Śđťâď¸)
There was insufficient toilet paper when we arrived and although they did provide more when we asked it was just inconvenient. The toilet paper holder was broken so we had to find somewhere else to put the roll of toilet paper. The sink leaked and it was supposed to be a dry washroom which is one of the reasons why I booked the place but turned out to be a wet washroom. Incredibly inconvenient with a baby.
The shower drainage was missing a cover and it didnât feel safe for my child when showering because her little feet could get stuck inside it.
One of the days we needed to rest a little longer and the housekeeper asked us when we were leaving so she could clean our room. We said we needed 2 more hours (around 2pm) she kept trying to peer inside our room and said she wanted to get off work early. I found that incredibly rude. I understand itâs CNY and you want to go home early but thatâs not something you should say to a guest who paid to stay at the hotel. Front desk people also did not seem friendly. Never saw any of them smile. We obviously donât speak Chinese fluently and they laughed at us when they couldnât understand us and wasnât helpful in any way.
Overall, not a very pleasant stay. Would not stay here again.

YYuenWe came for a biking holiday. We stayed 4 nights. We left every morning on a different biking route. Lots of roads and villages.
We each had a guest room. I was disappointed that I had the smallest room but they thought I wanted to be on the same floor as my friends. They moved me to the 2nd floor and now I had the same HUGE place as my friends. In the sitting room, is an L-shaped couch. It pulls out as a bed. So I guess this room could fit up to 4 people. The shower is huge. There is plenty of space to wash our bikes. The sauna/hot air thing was great for drying our clothes too!
Had we been more people, we probably would have rented one of the bigger places and shared instead of getting our own guest rooms.
It's fairly quiet. Breakfast was served in a separate traditional building. Normal Chinese breakfast, but asked for the noodles with the fried eggs! The kitchen staff were very accommodating when we asked if we could have breakfast at 7 am. Also, we asked for a late check-out because we wanted to shower after our ride. They let each of us have our rooms till 4pm at no charge. It would be great if the stone tiles could be power washed as it was quite slippery when it rained.
I didn't have my driver's license but I needed to go pick up my friend and his broken bike. So I went back to ask the manager if he could drive our car 35 km to pick up my friend. He was happy to drive me!
The sign to the guest house was not installed but if you look for the castle-like building, you'll find it. It was tricky getting to the hotel because we arrived late and it was absolutely chucking down with rain.
This is a great, gorgeous place if you want peace and quiet. My room had a river view. Great for relaxation. Highly recommend this place.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Huan Xiu Homestay and had a wonderful experience. The innâs serene setting and blend of traditional and modern decor made for a peaceful retreat. My room was clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable.
The amenities were excellent, offering both relaxation and cultural experiences. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent hospitality and helpful local tips. The breakfast experience was superb, with delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Huan Xiu Inn and highly recommend it.

WWHUThis is our third week travelling through China. Our stay at Wuli Shanshui Wenquan Dujia Jiudian. Mentioning the full name of this hotel pretty much gives you a full description of what you will likely experience. A lot of good value for money!
The hotel is situated at the bank of a river and behind the river you will see beautiful forested hills. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon you will hear the birds singing.
Your stay in this hotel comes with free entrance tickets to the hotpools, each with its own theme. You have the Danggui, the Red Wine, the Green Oasis, the Milk and Red Vinegar pools. We spent about 10 minutes in each of them. Relax, take time to have the body adjust to the temperature. I sat on the side with only my legs and hands under water. Later I let my body slide into the water fully. That night I slept like a baby and this morning I had a smooth soft skin, like a baby đ
The rooms are fully equipped with all necessities and the reception was very helpful. We got a fruit basket as a welcoming gift.
Unfortunately there was no restaurant service but the reception helped us to order in lunch and dinner from a nearby restaurant. All we had to do was to pick from the menu and send the order to the reception via Wechat. For a modest fee our lunch, dinner and cold beers were delivered to our room đ
The breakfast buffet offered great variety with fresh Ginseng fruit and mini tomatoes.
We liked it here so much that we booked a second night.
There is so much to explore in the neighbourhood with the beautiful old villages of Likeng and Wangkou nearby.
Thank you! đ

GGuest UserAs a female-solo traveller and non-chinese speaker.
I booked the cheapest room available because I travel alone. At first, I thought the price was high, but after I arrived it turned out to be very good value. The room is spacious and the service is wonderful. I arrived around 1:30 PM and was able to check in early. I also received 100 yuan in food vouchers (usable at select eateries), which was a nice bonus.
When you book here you donât need to buy an entrance ticket. Thereâs also a free shuttle both way from the ticket area to the hotel, so you donât have to walk far with luggageâespecially since the hotel sits on a hill. The staff can help carry bags to your room, which was very helpful.
Additionally, guests can opt for a free Chinese dress customization, a unique and memorable touch during your stay but look like you need to use it before 5 PM. The light will turn on around 7 PM, so you can still enjoy both.
The wifi/signal can be spotty in some areas. Day and night is totally different feeling. I recommend starting walking around around 5 PM onwards. If arrive early just take a rest in the hotel room first or do the dress as it takes time.
A tip: If you need to call a Didi, inform the hotel first so they can drop you off at an area where Didi can pick you up. Try not to call didi before you are in that spot.
Overall, great value, friendly staff, and convenient extras made this a very good stay.
