Grand JI Hotel: An Oasis of Eastern Aesthetics on the Wuchang Waterfront In today’s fast-paced urban landscape, people are often caught in the hustle and bustle, struggling to find a true sanctuary for the soul. Located at No. 198 Shahu Avenue, Wuchang District, Grand JI Hotel is a meticulously crafted Eastern aesthetic space designed by Huazhu Group for modern travelers. As a brand-new mid-to-high-end offering under the Huazhu umbrella, Grand JI Hotel is more than just a hotel; it is an immersive cultural and artistic retreat that seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics with contemporary lifestyles. Eastern Elegance: The Grandest Form is Formless, Stillness Amidst the Ripples The brand philosophy of Grand JI Hotel is rooted in classical Chinese philosophy: "The grandest form is formless; find stillness amidst the ripples." Here, Eastern aesthetics transcend mere symbolic motifs or superficial antique reproductions. Instead, it is expressed through a subtle, refined spatial language that naturally integrates elements like water, clouds, pine, and tea. Stepping into the lobby, you won't encounter the rigid formality or functional compartmentalization typical of traditional hotels. Breaking the mold, Grand JI Hotel has eliminated the conventional front desk, tucking it discreetly to the side. It is replaced by minimalist walls bathed in natural light and warm, tactile materials. The lobby doubles as a tea lounge, where sparse seating and soft lighting cultivate a serene and harmonious atmosphere. Time seems to slow down here. There is no pressure to "experience" anything, only a comfortable sense of personal space. From the moment you arrive, you are invited to shed your fatigue and truly unwind. Artful Rooms: Returning the Ownership of Your Time Understanding the modern urbanite's deep yearning to simply "pause," Grand JI Hotel provides an energy field where you need not play any role other than yourself. The room design perfectly balances business and leisure needs. Traditional desks have been replaced by window-side lounge areas, offering a cozy corner to recline and quietly watch the world outside. The spaces embrace generous negative space—they don't demand a response or require you to perform. Enhanced soundproofing and optimized layouts elevate the comfort of your stay. When you take a moment to rest in your room, you will genuinely feel a profound, inner peace. This is not merely a place to sleep; it is an Eastern aesthetic sanctuary where the mind can truly find its home. Refined Dining: Savoring the East, Lingering in Time At Daguan, dining is not just about satisfying the palate; it is an extension of Eastern lifestyle aesthetics. The restaurant continues the design motifs of water, clouds, pine, and tea, integrating original artworks into the space so that art is no longer confined to walls, but becomes a tangible part of everyday life. During breakfast, guests are treated to a thoughtfully curated Chinese buffet that caters to both traditional tastes and modern health-conscious diets, offering a touch of Eastern hospitality to start your day. Furthermore, the lobby tea lounge serves as a tranquil haven for working, writing, or business meetings. Order a pot of fine tea and let the aroma guide your breathing into a slower rhythm, savoring the unhurried pace of life. A Riverside Hub: Seamlessly Blending Business and Urban Exploration Situated in the heart of the Wuchang waterfront, Grand JI Hotel enjoys a prime location. It is not only a serene retreat from the world but also the perfect starting point for exploring the Wuchang riverside. Leveraging its premium address at No. 198 Shahu Avenue, the hotel is surrounded by over a million square meters of commercial space. Your hotel room key acts as a pass to exclusive neighborhood perks. You can effortlessly embark on a local adventure: enjoy classic dishes at Quanjude (Shahu Road branch) for lunch, burn off energy at the Archery Box in Qunxing City in the afternoon, and end your day with a soulful folk song at "Meet Folk." This symbiotic relationship between the hotel and the surrounding commercial, dining, and entertainment venues allows you to enjoy premium Eastern hospitality while immersing yourself in the vibrant Wuchang waterfront experience. Tech-Enabled: The Art of "Just Enough" Service While embracing Eastern elegance, Grand JI Hotel fully leverages modern technology for your convenience. The smart self-check-in system streamlines the registration process to a mere 10 seconds. This tech-driven efficiency not only saves time but also ensures your privacy, guaranteeing an uninterrupted arrival experience. It is a true embodiment of Eastern human-centric service: "Beginning with a journey, returning to life." Grand JI Hotel is more than a destination for accommodation; it is an elevation from "hotel" to "lifestyle." Within this gentle yet powerful sanctuary, we hope every traveler can rediscover their own rhythm and find the strength of inner peace.

"The newly opened Grand View found that my choice was correct. The high-level sense of entering the door and the tea fragrance came. The front desk lady was very good at serving. The tea was also very delicious. It felt great. The lobby was peaceful and artistic. It felt very Oriental and literary. The breakfast was superb, a lot of delicious, I felt that I couldn't eat it. The bed in the room is also super big, unlike other hotels, the bedding is gray, giving people a very high-end feeling. Convenient transportation, the subway station came out and saw the hotel. In short, the experience is superb, it is worthy of the service and quality that the five-diamond hotel should have. This time it was powdered by the big view circle, and the hotel of the big view will be preferred in the future."

This hotel is wonderful, beds and rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff were exceptional kind, especially Claire Shang, who was working at the front desk. She speaks fluent English and a number of the staff know English as well. Every time I have family or friends visit me, I get them a room at this hotel. Can’t recommend it enough. Plus the breakfast is cheap but yummy, and you can order specific dishes you want like an omelette or scrambled eggs. Plus local Chinese dishes. Also they have a cute robot that can bring amenities to your room if you need them.

Overall, I was satisfied. The hotel met all expectations, and its decor was quite stylish, offering a more distinctive design compared to other hotels in the same price range. The location is convenient for getting around; taxis are readily available. Within walking distance, you can easily reach Xian'anfang, Li Huangpi Road, and the Jiangtan (riverfront), making dining and strolling around very convenient. Breakfast was just okay, lacking any local specialties, which could be improved. Also, I strongly recommend upgrading the hair dryers in the rooms.

I had a very satisfying stay this time. The hotel's location is convenient for both getting around and dining. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive, check-in was efficient and quick, and all my requests were promptly addressed. The common areas were elegant and well-equipped. Overall, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I truly recommend it to everyone!

The room was spacious and met all our basic needs. The executive lounge offered great views, and the light meals there were perfectly adequate. Breakfast was really good and varied, and the pool and gym facilities were excellent with convenient operating hours. My only minor complaint was finding a used tissue in the toilet when I first entered the room. Overall, I'd still recommend it.

This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

Location: Unbeatable river view room with floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a view of Central China's tallest building across the river. The location is excellent, right on the waterfront with a prime river view. At night, you can lie in bed and watch the Yangtze River light show. Hankou Beach and Lihuangpo Road are right outside, and Jianghan Road is a convenient walk away. Cleanliness: The room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was soft. Service: The front desk service was attentive. This place offers incredible value for money; I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The hotel is very close to Metro Line 7. The room has a good view. You can see the lake. The lake is downstairs. You can go to the lake at night. The hotel is very close to Wansongyuan Snack Street. Wansongyuan Snack Street is very famous in Wuhan. There are many delicious foods. I checked in for crayfish, hot dry noodles, duck neck and lotus root soup... They are all very good. The hotel service is also very good. The child got greasy all over after eating crayfish. I asked the front desk for detergent, which was delivered to the room quickly. The hotel bar has free drinks, and the front desk also has free water and drinks. The hotel service staff are very friendly. There is no uninterruptible power supply at the bedside of the room I stayed in, so it is not convenient to charge the mobile phone at night.

The hotel's location is quite good, making it convenient to get everywhere. The rooms are a bit small and the facilities aren't new. The price was acceptable during the Chinese New Year period, but the room's cleanliness really impacted our stay. There were spills that hadn't been wiped up, the trash hadn't been emptied, and the water glasses had mold spots. When we contacted the front desk, the staff said they were too busy because of Chinese New Year and could only address it the next day. The parking lot is very small, but the parking attendant was enthusiastic and had a good service attitude. The soundproofing was decent, and breakfast was just okay.

I stopped over in Wuhan for a night and the accommodation exceeded my expectations. We checked in smoothly with our pet, and there were no additional charges. The hotel did a great job assigning our room, and the soundproofing was excellent. It was the first time my dog slept so soundly outside of our home; she didn't spend the whole night on guard. We kept our dog in a stroller in the public areas. While the hotel is pet-friendly in that it allows pets, there's still room for improvement. For example, the pet bed provided isn't very useful, as most pet owners know that pets won't readily sleep in an unfamiliar bed with unfamiliar scents. Perhaps a pet playpen would be better. Providing pet pads, diapers, and even pheromone sprays for anxiety or flea/tick sprays would truly make it feel pet-friendly. Nevertheless, I'm happy to see that brand-name hotels are gradually opening up to and improving their pet policies, and I believe things will only get better in the future. Aside from the pet aspect being quite satisfactory, I really need to complain about the hotel breakfast. I arrived at the restaurant around 9:45 AM, knowing the hotel was full and breakfast would be crowded, so I specifically tried to avoid peak hours. When I got to the entrance, both the hostess and manager were looking down, and there was no one to seat us. All the trays were empty, and people were scrambling to find plates. I didn't see any service staff in the dining area; it was the head chef who brought out the plates. The food was cleared very quickly by 9:55 AM. I asked an employee who was clearing the food for a main serving spoon to eat my cereal, and she told me they only had ceramic spoons, and that the stainless steel ones were only for the serving counter. The Americano coffee machine at the coffee bar only filled cups about 60% of the way. The restaurant manager really needs to contact the supplier to adjust the machine. What I also can't understand is why the omelet station, which is a key QA check for the Marriott brand, has been changed. There are no more omelets, and although they made sunny-side up eggs, I'm still a bit confused. I've never stayed at a Sheraton before, so perhaps the standards are different? On a positive note, I want to praise the chef at the noodle station. She was incredibly enthusiastic, and the beef noodles were delicious. Even though it was close to closing time, she maintained her warmth and enthusiasm, which was really lovely. However, there's a small detail: the chopsticks provided for eating noodles aren't ideal for picking up the noodles. I observed that most guests were business travelers, and it's very easy for soup to splash onto their clothes. Because of this, I didn't finish my delicious beef noodles.
