The name of the ”calvus”, which is derived from the Latin ”calvus” meaning ”castle on bare rocks”, is the city built by the Republic of Genoa on a rocky promontory in the 13th century.
Genoa established the city centre in 1278, and a new castle was built in 1491 to deal with artillery technology, becoming a landmark today.
The motto ”Calvi semper fidelis” (Calvi is always loyal) on the emblem stems from the oath taken to Genoa in 1553 after the French and Turkish forces were repelled."

Accès piscine suivant où le se situe, pas facile d'accès. Assenceur a réviser! Parking possibilité d'avoir sa place privée mais il faut le demander! Chambre très bien, petit déjeuner au top de chez top!
