ChangmaHorseFirst and foremost, a huge thank you to Trip.com! My original hotel was undergoing renovations and couldn't accommodate me, so Trip.com proactively reached out and arranged a complimentary switch to a nearby hotel, covering the price difference entirely. Their service was incredibly thoughtful. After comparing several options, I ultimately chose this Indigo Hotel located in Batumi's Old Town.
Upon check-in, the hotel manager gave me a detailed introduction to the hotel's rich history: the building was originally the century-old Batumi National Bank, carrying the city's financial memories and historical imprints. After sharing the building's story, the manager also made it clear that, as a protected historical building, smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the hotel. I completely agree with this rule and commend the hotel for its dedication to preserving historical architecture and creating a comfortable environment.
During my stay, I truly felt Batumi's vibrant multicultural charm: the colorful mosaic stained-glass windows in the lobby told tales of Black Sea region artistry with their kaleidoscopic light and shadow; the hand-woven Georgian carpets in the guest rooms, with their intricate patterns and rich colors, carried centuries of weaving traditions and cultural heritage; and there were also well-preserved historical arches and recreated astronomical clock elements. Every detail subtly conveyed the city's historical脈絡 and cultural warmth. From the financial imprint of the former National Bank to the design blending European elegance with Georgian flair, this hotel is like a miniature museum, allowing me to fully immerse myself and understand Batumi's story during my stay.

The location is excellent, in the center of old Batumi. Cleanliness, daily cleaning, friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfasts are not very varied, but acceptable for this level of hotel. Disliked: the bed was uncomfortable to sleep in. The mattress was good, but there was no hair conditioner in the room. I had to ask the cleaning lady for one.

Excellent hotel! The rooms are clean and have everything you need. Breakfasts are fantastic with a great variety of options at the buffet. The restaurant where breakfast is served has a terrace with an amazing mountain view. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from the old town, and there's a lovely park with a lake and an embankment nearby. I highly recommend visiting this hotel in Batumi; you won't regret it!

Guest UserThe place is good and well-organized, with everything you need like a washing machine, iron, and a small kitchen. It's clean, but not the best. The location is excellent, close to restaurants, cafes, and tourist areas within walking distance.
The only issue I had was that after the apartment was cleaned, my pajamas went missing. I asked at the reception, and they said the cleaning staff wasn't there. Since check-out was early in the morning, I gave them my number to contact me if they found them. Honestly, this whole thing made me uneasy; if pajamas can be stolen, what about other belongings? I was a bit stressed and insisted on following up to see if there would be any action, but unfortunately, they didn't care at all and didn't take the matter seriously.
If you book here, make sure to keep an eye on your belongings and don't let anyone in to clean.

NIKITAVLWe had issues during check-in. We had booked a suite for a family of four – two adults and two children aged 7 and 12. Upon entering the room, we realized there were no beds for the children. The front desk promised to resolve the issue once, then twice, then three times, and by the fourth time, we had to get assertive. Eventually, sleeping arrangements were made for everyone, but it took us 7 hours of constant reminding. Overall, it's a great hotel with good breakfasts, a gym, and an indoor pool. The cleaning is good, and the staff is polite.

Located in the new district of Batumi, it's close to the airport but a few kilometers from the old town. However, Batumi's traffic is extremely congested; it took us over an hour to travel just a few kilometers in the afternoon. The city's management is truly terrible.
The room was small but fairly clean. It's very close to the beach. Because our flight was in the morning, we hadn't had breakfast, and there was a 50 baht deposit required to borrow an umbrella.

ChessmasterI have spent there 4 days. Check-in 15:00, rather late. Check-out until 11:00, its early, be ready for that as well. The apartments are on the 4th floor of the Steps building. I have arrived by plane. The time to get from the airport to the apartments building is about 40 minutes by foot. Or you may take a bus, though its unclear to me how you may pay it the bus without Batumi card that I had. The weather was rainy about 75% of time. Its a typical winter in Batumi. The wifi was working in apartments well. The cleaning done was every day or at least you are asked whether you need that or not. You need to wait quite some time until hot water at the shower starts. Due to bad weather my plane was postponed. The host did not help me with dealing with it, he just wanted to take 30$ whilst we agreed previously on 13$ by 1 more night by phone. So I had to figure out my new plane ticket and leave in a hurry.

MartynenkoASThe hotel is a bit old and looks quite different from the photos, but that doesn't make it a bad place at all. A significant downside is that the spa and pool area weren't working. The hotel promotes itself as vintage and antique, which helps to mask its age well. We booked the cheapest room, but it had all the necessary amenities, even a veranda with a city view. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom had everything we needed, and the room was regularly stocked with water, tea, coffee, and a small kettle. The room itself was clean. The location is perfect, with all key attractions within walking distance, essentially right in the city center. I especially want to mention the beautiful dining hall and the varied breakfast; there was a wide selection, all the food was delicious, and it changed daily. Overall, I liked the hotel. It has its quirks, of course, but for the price, it's excellent and pleasant accommodation.

We stayed at Sheraton Batumi Hotel expecting the standard of a global 5-star luxury chain. Unfortunately, while the location is beautiful, the overall experience fell far below expectations.
The property’s location, right in front of the beach, is stunning. The views are lovely and the building itself looks impressive. Sadly, the service and operational quality did not match the pricing or brand promise.
Here were the key concerns:
1. Language & Service Gaps
For a luxury, premium-priced international hotel, it was surprising that several staff members struggled to understand basic English. This made even simple requests unnecessarily complicated.
2. Inedible Food on Day 1
On the day we checked in, we ordered a ciabatta pesto sandwich. The ciabatta was so hard it was impossible to chew. It literally sounded like knocking on wood. We had to remove and eat only the filling. This is basic food quality control that should not fail in a 5-star property.
3. Repeated WiFi Failures
Within an hour of check-in, the WiFi stopped working. I had official calls to attend, yet even after 2–3 hours, the issue wasn’t resolved. The next day, the WiFi again went down for 2–3 hours. In a hospitality business today, reliable internet is non-negotiable. There also seemed to be no backup plan or proactive communication.
4. Shower Head Burst - No QC?
The following morning, the shower head burst while in use, flooding the bathroom. My belongings got wet and it completely disrupted the morning. When a room is marked “ready,” basic quality checks should ensure fixtures are functional.
5. Breakfast Quality Below Standard
The breakfast buffet was largely cold. Vegetarian options were extremely limited. Even the falafel was undercooked. The omelette was overly oily. At the very least, for a globally known chain, one Indian option or more diverse vegetarian choices would have been appreciated.
6. Room Service Delays
Ordering water to the room took nearly an hour and required four calls. That level of delay for something so basic is difficult to justify.
Overall, while the location is excellent, the service standards, food quality, maintenance checks, and responsiveness did not align with what one expects from a Sheraton property.
For the price paid, this was not a luxury experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on operational consistency, staff training, and basic quality control.
