#Amanjiwo's Ultimate Experience 💖😋
Amanjiwo means ”peaceful soul” in Indonesian. Designer Ed Tuttle drew inspiration from Borobudur, featuring circular limestone architecture and incorporating elements such as circles, squares, and crescents to pay homage to this World Heritage site. Nestled in a natural amphitheater at the foot of Mount Menoreh, the hotel is surrounded by four towers, seamlessly blending into the natural surroundings. [Strong]
🫰 It must be said that Amanjiwo truly embodies the pinnacle of local culture and luxurious living. The welcome letter and daily goodnight notes are deeply infused with local flavor, along with maps 🖌🎨. There are also numerous activities (we participated in a Borobudur tour and a local morning market experience), thoughtfully prepared straw bags for guests' outings, and an immersive reading space. The hotel also offers a unique Indonesian afternoon tea, folk craft workshops, and a Javanese dinner accompanied by musical performances. This unique culture and thoughtfulness is a unique quiet luxury, tranquility and beauty ❤

Excellent! Beautiful environment, attentive to guests, unique rooms, highly recommended. It's the best choice for visiting Borobudur. Their spa and the crispy duck rice halfway up the mountain are also highly recommended. Everyone should try it; you won't regret it.

AMAZING. Our favourite place we've stayed in all of Asia after a few months travelling! The bungalow and area is as beautiful as the photos and it's worth staying just for the incredible floating breakfast. Great value for money for what you get. Bobby the owner was chilled out and friendly chatting to us and other guests making us feel welcome. The views are incredible... Watching the sunset over the fields with a volcano in the backdrop was our favourite moment of Java. Pool was spotless, flowers were stunning, the design of everything inside the bungalows and outside were impressive and so artistic. The bungalow also had great air con, we didn't see any bugs or mosquitoes which surprised us and had a great hot shower.
The location is far from restaurants but we ordered food via grab and were happy to stay by the pool anyway as we didn't want to leave the relaxation.
If you book make sure you book more than one night as you won't want to leave!

The staff was great, we had questions they could answer quickly and help us deliver what we needed to the room, and we wanted to go to Borobudur and provide driver pick-up, it was great! Nearby is a very simple village, nothing to hang around, the locals are very friendly, have a pair of curious and kind eyes, very like it here.
What I really want to improve is that the hot water in the bathroom is not too hot.

Very beautiful place surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. They also organized breakfast for a very reasonable price. I hope I can come back one day.

I had a delightful stay at this small family home stay. Tomo and his wife were incredibly sweet, always accessible, and genuinely helpful. Opting for the deluxe room was a great choice – clean, and the daily cleaning option was appreciated. The traditional breakfast was delicious and healthy. The proximity to Borobudur temple and local eateries, combined with a quiet atmosphere, made the location great. A few minor suggestions for improvement include proper netting on ventilator holes in the room, fixing the squeaky bathroom door, and loud noises from the bathroom air con. Overall, a lovely place with a welcoming family touch.

Guest UserMy room washroom encounter the stinky smells on the 1st night, very unfortunate the phone inside the room also out of order too. I’ve to close the door properly before sleep yet still have unpleasant smells in the room. I’ve told the night shift front desk officer about it, however he seems don’t understood and didn’t get the issue settle. Hence, I’ve requested to upgrade on the next day to the day time front desk officer, Herman if the issue can’t be solved. However, it’s fully booked, so I felt upset and helpless. Therefore, I’ve stressed to him I’m unable to give good rating in this case and get him to my room and experience it. He immediately
understood the issue and get someone to resolve the issue after I went out for early dinner. Afterwards the issue only comes back in a while and gone. Herman had got the cleaner take note of the issue too over the 6 days 5 nights stay.
I would like to give the compliment to Herman for this case. Besides, though the breakfast served only simple food, however I think is good for nutrition and everything are fresh. Especially the juice and fruit sections.

Clean room, clean sheets and clean towels, and room sandals. But the hotel is lacking in charm since every inch is paved over and the brick walls are painted in a dark paint. More plants or color would be nice. The room has bare concrete floors, but the woven rugs smell moldy. The bathroom smells a little from poor plumbing. The main door and bathroom has gaps that insects can crawl through. The staff are sweet, and agreed to serve us our breakfast AFTER we visited Candi Borobudur. Lots of Food is available nearby on the main streets, this hotel is on a less busy street. It was raining so we did not use the pool. The wifi was strong in our room.

The room is large, I came with my family with 2 children, the 1st is a teenager, so it's pretty good my husband can sleep on a sofa that can make a sponge, for ordinary food, the swimming pool is pretty good although not clean, the bathroom is not clean, The floor part is not perfectly absorbed, but for convenience, it's pretty good, yes, you can see the river and the view of the rice fields
