Minimalistic hotel rooms well located off Silent Beach in Tangalle. Nice communal pool and a small amount of rooms makes the villa quite tranquil and never busy. The staff are wonderful and the chef cooks delicious food which is all very reasonably priced. I just recommend you stay away from beef in this country as it’s quite inedible, this seems a common theme whether you’re buying a cheap burger or an expensive beef dish. The only detractions to the accomodation was a foul odour emanating from the shower in the mornings, but it did dissipate thereafter. Also I find there is little point of an in-room safe if it isn’t bolted to the ground. You can literally walk in and pick the safe up and exit the room making it redundant. Rooms are well appointed and well priced for the area given the two luxury alternatives are the Amanwella resort which is quite dated and much more expensive and the Anantara Peace Haven which is more expensive but also a fantastic product. The local beach here is beautiful. I would stay here again, but I expect rooms will be hard to come by as the country lacks 5 star resorts at this time. I would stay here again no doubt and recommend the property.

Lankavatara offers a peaceful, secluded escape. The beach is beautiful and, for most of our stay, we had it almost entirely to ourselves. Do be aware that the sea is very rough, so it’s generally not suitable for swimming. The rooms have a rustic charm with basic amenities. While comfortable enough, I personally wouldn’t rate the property as a 4-star hotel. The Wi-Fi was also quite weak, which may be worth considering if you need a reliable internet connection. The staff were always willing to help when asked, although the service sometimes felt a little disingenuous and not always delivered with genuine warmth. Food service could also be quite slow at times, so it’s best to allow plenty of time for meals. One of the highlights of our stay was the surrounding area. A special mention goes to Upoint Restaurant, which serves exceptional home-cooked Sri Lankan seafood. The hosts there were incredibly welcoming and made for a memorable dining experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, unspoilt beach, simple accommodation, and don’t mind a more relaxed pace of service, Lankavatara is a pleasant place to unwind.

What a top stay we had! From the beginning to the end everything was perfectly arranged. They did everything they could for you, they were always educated and if they weren't working with us, they were working to clean up the stay. The food was really nice everything was fresh made and tasted super good! Also with our morning safari they provided a top breakfast The location is top in 30 minutes you are at Yala National Park, you can go to the village with a tuktuk but we thought it was just nice to be outside the safari at the hotel. The swimming pool was enjoyed and relaxed. It is that we can't give stars anymore because they really deserve this!

The Hilton Yala Resort is located on the southern edge of Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, at the entrance to a protected area... It's said that the park experience is a substitute for an African safari, and this protected area is home to wild animals such as leopards, elephants, deer, and peacocks, especially the leopard colony (just kidding, you practically never see one [sweat]). Сам пляж именно перед отелем не очень, но если пройтись левее, там уже поинтереснее. Справа грязноватая рыбацкая деревня. Рядом есть различные кафе, можно что-нибудь выбрать.

Set a quadruple room, in fact, can live 6 or 7 people no problem 😄 The hotel is located on the edge of the lake. Since we are going to Yarra National Park to see wildlife the next morning, the store packed breakfast for us very early.

This hotel is really amazing. I enjoyed every single service they provide. The room is huge and clean. They have beautiful swimming pool. The price really affordable and it’s include either lunch or dinner. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. SriLankan people just lovely. The thing they could improve is the WIFI 😭 it’s super super slow.

A very convenient hotel 30 mins from Yala national park for Safari (which the were kind enough to arrange for us). Nice pool with views over the lagoon and a great spot to sit and watch the sunset, birds flying home for bed/bats on their way out for the night! Staff are great, food was good.
