"Weak Wi-Fi.
The bathtub is old and plastic, while taking shower standing in it feels like it’s gonna break!
Their windows haven’t been replaced in ages, really dirty, and they leak—traffic noise kept me up all night from bedtime till morning.
Hot water, kettle, and AC can’t run at the same time; power tripped three times in one night.
But honestly, the staff are awesome—super quick to help, really friendly, and the front desk is great. Just wish the facilities were actually decent… really hope they fix this stuff soon."

Facilities: A mix of new and old, it's renovated, but just okay. No conditioner or lotion provided.
Service: Since we arrived from Singapore by cruise, we got to the hotel around 9 AM. We dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. It was incredibly hot, so by 12 PM, after sightseeing and eating, we returned to the hotel and asked if we could check in early. They refused... At around 1 PM, our little one really needed a nap, so we asked again and finally got a room. Sigh. Compliant with rules but not very empathetic. The service industry really needs a bit more human touch. The concierge, however, was excellent.
Environment: The swimming pool is clean, but it gets direct afternoon sun and closes exactly at 7 PM. Breakfast is good, but if you absolutely need Chinese food, you might consider skipping it and heading to the tea restaurant about 15 meters to the left of the hotel entrance, which is a better option. One side of the hotel faces the sea, and the other faces the Malacca River bay, both are nice views.

AabdulmukmiinA proper hotel with its own parking compund. The hotel is quite new, with sufficient facilities like swimming pool and gym area. The room is spacious and complete with the basic toiletries. The aircond was good and cleanliness of the whole room is average. The only small problem with my room was the shower area. There's some sort of blockage with the drain but overall the shower experience was good with steady strong current flow. Overall, this hotel is very well worth the price of slightly above RM100.

YyoumeiyouThis hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away.
It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.)
1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed.
2) The staff were warm and friendly.
3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful.
4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice).
Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice.

SSL1212Hotel was in a superb location with a 5-10 mins walk to Jonker Street.
Ample parking space with 1 EV charger that's complimentary use for hotel guests.
Room was super spacious but lightings were in mixture of color, day light and warm light, so feels weird when we on all lights.
Jacuzzi was nice but seems a bit old and the bottom was out of alignment.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel in Melaka with my family from 16–18 May 2026 and had a very pleasant experience.
While the property does show some signs of ageing, the excellent customer service more than made up for it.
I would especially like to commend the Front Office Manager, Mr Lim, for his professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality. He thoughtfully arranged connecting rooms for our family as requested, which we greatly appreciated.
The front desk staff were consistently friendly, courteous, and welcoming throughout our stay. It is clear that Mr Lim leads the team well, as the positive service culture at Bayview was evident in every interaction.
I would also like to specially mention Ikmal and Aliff for their friendliness and excellent service. Although I may not remember every staff member who served us, please convey our sincere appreciation to the entire team for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

Just the service not so happy whem we call.for room servive they answer vry fast but our needs was not fufilled call till 5 was transfer n no one anwer for room service we wamted order some fpod for the kids. Timing was 8.30pm. The nxt day try again was transfer the call n one answer, so total try twice only no amswer we give up.
There is variety of places to eat nearby by to malls and tourist atrraction.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite clean, I think its because it is quite new. Good to stay and sleep. Go to famous place of interest is about a 15 min grab ride only. Everytime you drive out of the hotel, need to pay $5, not sure why they implement this rule, other hotels I stay do not have such rule. Also, when my family and I were visiting one the facilities in the hotel, one of the function room, there were some people cleaning inside and they shouted at us with very loud & sudden voice so we didn't go in. They were cleaning the floor and I think they were afraid that we will step inside because the floor is clean but I feel that they should not have shouted. We are the hotel guest so if they do not want us to step into the function room, they could have said it nicely instead of shouting. My family and I were startled by the sudden shout. The front reception people were very friendly and professional though.

AAnonymous UserWe arrived really late, around 1 AM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk for check-in. We asked if we could switch rooms if ours wasn't suitable, but he said they were fully booked and had no other options. The next day, we saw that the entire building had tons and tons of empty rooms 😂. Our family room was very spacious, but the furniture and facilities felt incredibly outdated, like something from 20 years ago. The windows even had several black mold spots 😂, and the towels weren't very clean and were haphazardly placed in the bathroom, which also lacked a separate shower and toilet. There were ants on the table in the room, and black and red marks on the walls. Around 11 PM, after we had already gone to bed, someone prank-called our doorbell, which gave us quite a fright. There were documents on the table and bed stating how hard the hotel worked to achieve its 4/5-star rating. However, if you wanted an extra blanket or additional tea, you had to pay separately for each, with prices clearly listed.
Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to Heroes' Square, making it very convenient to walk to all the main attractions!
