Loved this stay! Gorgeous hotel with a spacious room in the middle of Songkhla Old Town. Super convenient to walk around and explore the area.

The hotel is located in walking distance from Songkhla old town/night market, and refurbished out of an ancient if not heritage building. It showcases the beauty of Thai Chinese interior design: every single display item brings back lots of nostalgia from the good old rosy days. The only drawback is the sound insulation as I could hear the convo from my fellow visitors next doors during my stay and also the sounds from outside (cat meows and roosters singing). Luckily i had my ear plugs so still managed to sleep. It seems the rooms on ground floor are nicer than those at second floor.

Ilja G.Room 4B was insufficiently cleaned at check-in, with hair and lint scattered all over the floor. After we complained, the floor was swept. At our request, the room was eventually mopped as well. However, the corners of the room and the area under the desk remained dirty. The kitchen floor was sticky and disgusting.
Only later did we realize that the entire room was affected by mold, as there was no ventilation and no way to open a window for fresh air. Never again!

Guest UserThe hotel is right on the beach, and you can watch the sunrise from bed in the sea-view rooms. 😁 The rooms are spacious, clean, and hygienic. The breakfast offers a wide variety, catering to both Thai and Western tastes. The service was warm and attentive; they proactively upgraded us to a sea-view room.

I stayed on the second floor of a lovely house. The location is excellent, allowing me to easily walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious roti with chicken curry. There's a small, chill garden. You have to take off your shoes on the first floor and walk up to the hotel. The floor is wooden, so it can be noisy and there are some small pebbles stuck to your feet.
The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, and the color scheme was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. It was quite narrow, and the rain shower was difficult to adjust the heat. Other than that, everything else was great.

I had a pleasant stay at Viva Hotel Songkhla. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Good value for money, though the Wi-Fi could be faster. Would stay again!

I really like the place to stay. Clean, good service, decorated to make you feel like you're coming back to visit a relative's house. The photo angle is very good. I like it a lot.

Anonymous UserThe cleanliness and comfort of the room are a perfect 10/10, no deductions, as it's a new hotel. However, I'd like to ask the owner to reconsider the check-in process. The hotel doesn't have a mini-bar, but they require a 1000 baht cash deposit for room and key card insurance. My question is, why does the deposit have to be in cash? They don't accept transfers or credit card holds. I'm wondering if the hotel owner is unaware that we live in a cashless society these days. If a deposit is deemed necessary, please consider changing the method. As for the 1000 baht room deposit, if you're that worried about damage, I suggest closing the hotel and using it as your own residence instead. Finally, regarding the deposit: at check-out, the staff smoothly stated that there were no issues with the room and everything was in order, effectively dismissing the guest. But wait, was the 1000 baht deposit not going to be returned? I had to ask, ”Excuse me, what about the deposit?” Only then did the staff seem to realize and return the money. This made me start to wonder why the deposit was so high. Was it an attempt to subtly forget and not return it? Most hotels have everything prepared and processed after checking the room, so guests don't have to ask for their deposit back.
