Amazing
GGuest UserDion customer service and his presence overall wasphenomenal! From check in to check out. We had such an amazing stay! Our room was decorated for our anniversary!!! Truly beautiful from balloons to the complimentary gifts. We will definitely book again.
GGuest UserThe room was small, but the front desk was very good, let us stay at 2 o'clock and wait until 4 o'clock. I booked a room with breakfast, and the waiter poured water on the breakfast, so I had to tip it... the taste and variety were good, but it was not worth it to spend 21 knives directly.
GGuest UserVery nice and quiet.. only thing was my room stated I would have a microwave at least... Only a refrigerator and coffee set up .. other than that everything was great
YYonto DYEnjoy the Tyson’s Corner area witch’s stay at the Double Tree. The silver line makes the trip from the airport easy, so you don’t have to worry about an expensive Uber. The staff is great; but be sure to ask for your room to be cleaned and any water bottles you may need. Aside from that, it’s a good place to stay whether your visiting DC or northern Virginia. I would also suggest going across the street to the mall. It’s been upgraded with a very large selection of great food.
GGuest UserExtended stay America provides cost-effective service in line with the chain.
1. Cleanliness
It is relatively clean because it was recently renovated. However, you should take into account that the building is a bit old, and the products are not high-end, so you should tolerate that. The TV, refrigerator, and bed are clean, and the staff seem to manage them well.
2. Location
It is a bit far from the Tyson metro station. It is a 20-minute walk or 2 bus stops. There are mostly residential areas nearby and an elementary school, so it is quiet and not crowded. However, you need a car to go to the grocery store. It costs about $15-20 round trip by Uber.
3. Service
You shouldn't expect great service because it is cheap. It is faithful to the basics, such as a clean room and a kitchen where you can cook. The breakfast service is really simple, with simple muffins and coffee. All the staff are friendly, and there is a laundry room, so you can use 6 washing machines and 8 dryers. The usage fee is $3 each. There is ample parking space. Isn't this enough?
4. Facilities
It's clean because it was recently renovated. However, it's definitely not at the level of a five-star hotel. There's an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, and TV in the room. The heater looks a little old. It looks older than what you'd see in a new hotel. The washing machine and dryer both look new. Above all, the TV is big and nice. The electric range is a little old, but the dishes are provided upon request at the front desk. However, it was a shame that there were a lot of scratches on the bottom of the pan.
5. Overall Review
There aren't many places that offer this level of service at this price. In particular, it's a merit that a kitchen is provided.
However, since it's a hotel with good cost-effectiveness, you should consider that it provides basic services, not five-star services.
