Phenomenal experience here at Hyatt House in Sandton! Set in the suburbs of Johannesburg, this hotel provides a safe and tranquil environment. Rooms were super comfortable and had an apartment sort of setup with a stove, microwave, and mini fridge. In addition, the staff here are absolutely INCREDIBLE. I honestly cannot thank them enough. They are super kind and will make sure you have a great stay in Johannesburg. From the front desk to the breakfast staff, everyone was amazing, and I am looking forward to returning back to Joburg one day.

From the moment I arrived, I felt enveloped in an atmosphere of calm, luxury, and genuine hospitality. This is the kind of property that doesn’t just meet expectations — it elevates them. I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm. The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens. Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat. This hotel is was definitely one of my favorite stays. I made my booking around 7pm for a stay later that same night, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process. The rooms are impeccably clean and wonderfully spacious, easily ranking among the best hotel accommodations I've experienced during my visits to Johannesburg. The attention to detail and commitment to guest comfort is evident in every aspect of this wonderful establishment. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the well-appointed, comfortable rooms, this hotel has exceeded my expectations and solidified its position as one of my top preferred places to stay in the city. Although bathrooms may need a bit of an upgrade, I am confident that I will be returning to this hotel on my future visits to Johannesburg.

Our stay at Bellgrove Guesthouse was warm, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. The guesthouse offered a peaceful residential setting while still being conveniently located near Sandton and key amenities. The breakfast each morning was a highlight — generous portions with options ranging from full English breakfasts to lighter continental choices. The parents especially appreciated the quality and effort put into the meals. The rooms were clean, practical, and suitable for a family stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed environment that made us feel safe and at ease. Transport logistics in and out were manageable via Uber, although occasional driver issues with change were noted. Overall, Bellgrove provided a homely and dependable base for the Johannesburg portion of our trip.

I had the best time just relaxing at the hotel . The staff were very friendly and because it was my birthday they upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast . I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back . Room services was also really great and the views were amazing .

Hotel is rated at 5star but the amenities are quite average. The standard king size room is smaller than I have experience in some other hotels if that range. You do not find water glasses in the room. Room service is very slow and sometimes your call will just keep transferring between room service and reception if you needed something. If you ordered food in your room, you have to make payment immediately. It does not amount up to check out. There is only one restaurant, one cafe in the hotel. You can walk up to nearest restaurant for your food that is 800m away.Pool is there but you have to carry your own towel. The day we arrived, there was a birthday party around the pool with loud music. We avoided going to pool side. Shoe shiner is in the lobby and if you get your shoes cleaned he needs to be paid as compliment and that complement begins with 100rand minimum. To me it’s an average hotel and ok for a couple of days. It had some conference going on so extra crowd was also in the lobby for the two days we stayed If you are looking for a luxery experience, better choose another hotel. This hotel is ok for not more than two days of stay.

It was lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating and arranged airport pickup. The breakfast was lovely as well as room service. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Jhb. 💕❤️ The rooms were clean although amenities needed to be requested suxh as robes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo etc - not really nice after a long flight. As well as water, so if this could be provided first that would make it even great.

The location is spectacular. The rooms are good value for money. I liked my stay a lot. The only thing is if you’re booked into a room further away, you must know that if it is raining you have to walk outside and to the entrance to fetch your food orders or get your uber — only downside.

They lie and said I booked a smoking room, I insisted that I didn't since I have sinuses. The lady that was at reception forced the smoking room on me and said they don't have any rooms available. I thought the room wasn't bad but when I got there, the smell was terrible, I couldn't take it. I went over to ask for my refund as my email stated the room I booked wasn't. They gave me the room which means they were lying, I don't know if they were profiling me or what.

I have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too! The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business. The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades. The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money! Just a small note that due to loadshedding, sometimes the email/booking system gives some issues - so don't forget to just follow up once booked :)
