Golden Club Cabanas

Lovely place! Not so touristique, but on walking distance of the pittoresque small village. Bus to Tavira at the end of the park. Train station after a 2km walk.

The check in time is very late when we were with family, the room was not clean, no soap provided for shower or handwash. The check out time is early as well. The activities for the kids were only on Saturday and Wednesday. Overall experience should be improved for families. The staff were friendly and provided the required information.

Good for the price and a ok location being off to one end of the main ***** but the limited about of hot water in the room was a problem and rooms inside the hotel our outdated. Staff are great as always.

We stay here twice a year and find the accommodation clean and good value for money. It is an ideal location for us, it is near to the Ria Formosa and situated at the western end of Cabanas de Tavira.

Before I start, this review is based on an out of season stay. It is our 7th stay at this Hotel, and have never been let down, that said this year it seemed to be fuller, and quite a lot of children for this time of year, and I have to say quite a few groups, who tended to be pretty loud and inconsiderate to other guests (not hen/stag does, and not the hotels fault), unfortunately there was some building work going on/DIY, but they have to keep on top of things. the food has improved, maybe not as much choice but what there is, is of a good standard, and we always found something to eat with no problems, the staff do a great job, and very efficient if you treat them as human beings and not you personal servant, and a tip every now then is greatly appreciated, and please make the effort to clear your table when you leave, either at the bar or the restaurant again this is noted and you will see the difference from the staff, over all another good stay in a hotel with well kempt grounds in a great location, and you must visit the beach it is stunning. Very happy with everything - room well equipped (including sink and fridge), although you have to pay for safe at reception. Spa complex very nice, good pool and jacuzzi (take a swim hat if you have hair or you will need to buy one there, 3 Euros). Five minute walk to the ‘front’ where there are bars and restaurants. Staff very good.

Second time in this hotel . Many facilities and good value for money. I was with 3 kids on the first time and service was great, I had a loads of help from staff, especially Renato who was kind very supportive. The hotel location is very good, quiet with beautiful countryside. The free boat service to the beach is great and the cabanas Isle beach is really outstanding. Amazing for walking on the long sand beach. inside heated swimming pool if you want. Definitely come back again and highly recommended this hotel any time if the year.
