Paid for an upgrade and received a worse room than what I started with. The mirror was broken, the A/c didn’t work, and the tv didn’t work.

The Hideaway is the adults only section of the Royalton Rivieria. The entire resort is huge with lots of restaurants, bars, and nightly entertainment. By booking with *******, we had our own personal concierge who made us reservations at the restaurants every night. We could text him whenever we needed something including more drinks and water in our room frig. This was definitely a nice perk to have! We had so much fun during our 5 night stay and plan on returning!

Absolute disappointment! We booked presidents suite with hot tub on the balcony because we loved picture of it on *******. Unfortunately ******* took a photo of room top room, that was not available, so they gave us second floor room that was very outdated and had a small hot tub. Our room was not ready at 3pm, we checked in 1.5 hrs later only. Almost no shade at the beach. All sun beds are taken unless you want to wake up before 9am. Beach is good and water is calm. Food is very average, not 5* resort food. Wait everywhere because hotel is full to the max and they don’t have enough staff. We had Diamond package so lines were okay, but regular rooms wait for the buffers are crazy. Glad we only booked 2 nights.

Not good at all. The food was not so good, however loved the coffee shop and pastries. Diamond club alcohol was awesome. The spa was good. Overall I would rate the resort a 3. Also it’s not really a adult only resort, the listing was misleading on that.

I was upset when I realized my "all adult" resort was actually just a portion of the resort that was attached to a family resort. They had separate areas but if I wanted to see main shows, shop, go to the ****** or eat at a lot of the restaurants I had to go to the areas that were for families and I wasn't;t thrilled about that. I like children, I just didn't want to be surrounded by them on this particular vacation. Felt kind of tricked once I arrived at the resort and saw the setup.

Had the worst check in process imaginable, there was a miscommunication about our booking with ******* which is not the hotels fault but they didn't try to help in any way, instead they told us that it's not their problem but ours and we needed to figure it out. At the end we had to essentially put a hold on our card at the same value as our stay to give us keys to our rooms and offering no other solution. Hotel would randomly smell like swamp/sewage. Towels, pillows, and counters were all visibly dirty (if they gave them to you). The only enjoyable staff are the bartenders and grounds keepers. Restaurants constantly try to upsell you on drinks and food while the food is 3/5 in almost all the places. It wasn't a horrible stay but if you come in expecting a 5 star resort as advertised, you will likely be disappointed
