The hotel is super convenient. It is in the centre of Bourke street. A lots of shopping, eateries and grocers within 10m walk. Unbelievable. Only set back, they don’t have a washing machine in the apartment. The view from the apartment is good. I stay on a very high floor.
The apartment is clean but a bit outdated. Overall, I will return to stay again

Facilities: Very new, the room was odorless, but the elevator and the first-floor hallway both had a strong odor.
Cleanliness: A new hotel, impeccable cleanliness.
Environment: The interior was very nice. The room window had no view, but it was very close to the building opposite, so I could clearly see across, so I kept the curtains closed the entire time.
Service: Chinese service was available, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good, and the staff were very welcoming. The honey was quite unique and made fresh 🥚.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Melbourne in the heart of the city, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better—right in the middle of Melbourne, with shops, restaurants, public transport, and major attractions just steps away.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you’d expect from a quality hotel. The bed was cosy, the Wi-Fi was fast, and I loved being able to walk straight out into the buzz of the city. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and professional, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of fresh options, and the dining area was bright and inviting.
Overall, Mercure Melbourne is perfect for both business and leisure travellers who want convenience, comfort, and great service in the heart of the city. I would definitely stay here again.

Very good service. Here very good. Staff so nice. We have night flight we can left the luggage here by no need to pay anything more. Just we would like to give you improve about some cleaning because a lot of dust in the room makes us cough because of dust and winter should have some hotel slippers in the room. Everything good and connivence. Thank you. We feel very happy rest here when travel at Melbourne.

The room and bathroom were both spacious. Fresh milk was replenished daily, and daily housekeeping was provided. Rooms featured 24-hour electricity and heating. An email reminder is sent for check-out, and online check-out is also available, which is very convenient.

The hotel is in a good location, with walking distance to Southern Cross Station and near good cafes. A tram station is also located right outside the hotel, making it easy to travel to CBD.
However, with convenient location, it was extremely noisy. We booked a one-bedroom apartment which was a higher tier room but we were situated on the 2nd floor, and we could hear the trains and cars all night as we slept.
Poor service from the hotel. Dirty floors upon check-in with hairs and stains. Do not expect housekeeping despite being called a ”hotel”. We also found footprints in our room after we came back from a day out, presumably as the staff changed our towels (the only housekeeping the hotel provides). The rooms are also relatively cramped but comfortable and not disturbed by our neighbours.

Hotel Review – Ibis Central
Rating: 3.75/5
I recently stayed at Ibis Central and overall had a pleasant experience.
Location:
The location is definitely a highlight—conveniently situated next to a major shopping center, which made exploring and grabbing essentials super easy.
Room:
The room was clean and comfortable, with an interesting layout where the sink is placed inside the bedroom instead of the bathroom. We were kindly placed on the 18th floor, which offered great views—shoutout to the reception team for that.
Service:
Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. However, communication with housekeeping was a bit of a challenge due to the language barrier, especially when we tried to request extra blankets and pillows. It would’ve been better to ask directly at the front desk.
Amenities:
Something to keep in mind—there were no complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers provided, so be sure to bring your own.
Breakfast:
The breakfast was decent with a good variety of options, though it stayed the same each day. The standout feature was the make-your-own juice station, which was a nice touch.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, a solid stay with a few minor inconveniences. With some improvements in guest amenities and communication, this place could easily push closer to a 5.

NNelly11Great location. Right in the heart of the city. If you like to walk it takes 15-20 minutes to get to everything in the city. Staff are very helpful and polite. Access to washing machine and dryer for 5 dollars. Also gym has decent cardio equipment and cable machine plus free weights. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Will definitely recommend.

AamittraWe stayed in Room 1003 at Arrow on Swanston as a family of three—two adults and a child—for a short visit to Melbourne. The location was the strongest advantage, offering direct access to Swanston Street’s tram network and nearby restaurants and a short walk to our daughter’s student accommodation at Scape Swanston. The room itself was compact but functional, with a well-equipped kitchenette suitable for preparing simple meals. Although the space was limited, it was clean on arrival and the bed was reasonably comfortable.
Housekeeping, however, was only scheduled once every four days, and we had to make repeated requests to have the room cleaned. Towels and toiletries were not replenished automatically and had to be collected in person from the reception. Elevator service was also a drawback—there are only two passenger lifts, which were often slow to arrive, and on multiple occasions, garbage bins were transported in the same lift as guests, making for an unpleasant experience. The sofa bed provided for our child was adequate for a short stay but may not be suitable for longer durations. Heating worked well, which was appreciated during colder evenings, and the kitchenette offered basic but useful amenities. Reception staff were generally polite and helpful when approached. That said, the room and some common areas appeared dated and would benefit from refurbishment. Overall, while the property felt slightly overpriced given the service and maintenance levels, it was convenient and met our basic needs for a short family stay.
