Wonderland Resort Changxing

I visited right after the Chinese New Year holiday, so it was post-peak season and business was slowing down. As a result, the coffee shop said they had no coffee beans, and the buffet was closed. Upon check-in, there was no front desk staff, just two employees who seemed like volunteers helping guests download an app, as if they had download quotas to meet. The room facilities couldn't withstand close inspection. It was quite frustrating to find cockroaches and bed bugs even in the middle of winter. It's hard to say if the water cups and kettle were cleaned and maintained. The hardware and environment should actually be quite good, considering the tea garden and the cabins. It's a shame they aren't properly maintained. The shuttle bus response was pretty quick, but walking a short distance is fast enough too.

We stayed in the main building. The hygiene was good, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. It was my first time seeing a buffet breakfast that included rice balls! The lawn in front of the main building was perfect for kids to run around, and there were chairs set up, making it a great spot for photos. There were even goalposts on the grass, but unfortunately, no soccer ball, and I didn't bring one either. That's my only regret. The hotel's children's facilities were also very comprehensive. There's an indoor playground, which is great for hot days, and an outdoor playground too. The weather wasn't too hot that day, so the kids had a blast at the outdoor playground. There were also plenty of hotel vehicles (toy cars/bikes), and I got lots of smiling photos of my child. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the trip.

Environment: The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, with bamboo forests and tea plantations, giving it a true holiday vibe. Hygiene: Being a standalone cabin, it's inevitable to find small insects in the room. There was also a slight odor from the drain, which I suggest the hotel addresses. Facilities: We booked a family suite, which had a slide and a hanging chair, much to the delight of both the children and the elderly. There's also a pet park, electric scooter rentals, and a bonfire party. Service: I've stayed at four or five Kaiyuan hotels before, and the service at Changxing Fangcaodi was quite subpar. Check-in was chaotic and disorganized, and the staff's attitude was generally indifferent – they didn't even greet us. At check-out, they didn't proactively offer a small gift for the children (I saw other guests receiving them). If the service attitude could improve, I would honestly love to visit every year, as the environment truly is fantastic.

The room wasn't cleaned properly; there was broken glass, and my child cut their finger. The hotel offered a few experience vouchers, and since it wasn't a deep cut, we left it at that. The hotel breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. There are many parent-child activities, but each one only kept us entertained for about an hour before we got bored. The heater in the bathroom was practically useless; it was on for ages but didn't warm up at all, so we were freezing after showers. The hotel staff had good service, and the shuttle bus made getting around very convenient. Overall, it's worth it if you can get a promotional price.

We booked two one-bedroom villas and upgraded to a detached two-bedroom villa, which is perfect for a family of three with elderly relatives. The housekeeper, Xiao Xu, was very welcoming and sent a daily activity list, with plenty of family-friendly activities in the evenings.

Xiao Xu at the front desk was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. The hotel environment was excellent, with complete facilities, making it a great choice for family vacations with children and seniors.

The wooden villa has elegant rooms with private sun terraces, and a bamboo forest right outside. The receptionist, Xiao Xu, is very attentive and responsive. I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here. My child especially loves it!

Facilities: The facilities are complete, especially the disinfection cabinet, which is very family-friendly. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff is very responsible. Environment: The log cabins are nestled in the jungle, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Service: The service is very prompt, especially from Butler Xu, who is always responsive. I stayed here last Qingming Festival and had a great experience. This time, Butler Xu even upgraded our room. The log cabin villa has a very nice environment, with one bedroom and one living room.
