As many have said, a Ferrari, even when old, is still a Ferrari. The room itself was quite good in all aspects, and the smart toilet was a nice touch. There weren't enough charging outlets though. We booked a city view room and could still catch a glimpse of the river, but the unfinished building next door was a bit of an eyesore. The breakfast had a large variety of food, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of taste. The executive lounge in the evening was pretty decent, with fried rice, takoyaki, various sushi, and small desserts – definitely enough to fill up on. It seems there are many other hotels in the same building as the Westin, which gives the whole building a strange vibe. The small pool on the rooftop is just for show; you can't actually swim in it. The pool on the 6th floor, however, is quite large. The welcome fruit was just two oranges, clearly not as thoughtful as the hotel across the street. This was part of our family trip to Chongqing for Chinese New Year, with two nights at the Hyatt and two at the Westin. Staying in Jiefangbei is really convenient.
