JJOOZWAYI have always wanted to experience the beauty of Qiandao Lake. It was my birthday so I rewarded myself with a trip to Qiandao Lake. For such a leisurely vacation, the choice of homestay is so important! Yungu Songjian Homestay was planted as soon as I saw its pictures. It is surrounded by mountains and has a white two-story building. It has a unique atmosphere even on rainy days. It also has a large swimming pool. It is also very good for taking photos at night. The afternoon tea is exquisite and delicious. They can also provide full meals. They are all authentic specialties. They are delicious and tasty. The staff of the homestay are very enthusiastic. They will take the initiative to ask about your needs and everything is arranged properly! You can feel the kindness and warmth. This really gave me a great experience of the trip to Qiandao Lake!

HHarperqiqigongzhuMy enjoyable National Day holiday has ended, but my heart is still in Qiandao Lake. Hilton truly lives up to its reputation as an established luxury hotel. The room was spacious, the view was excellent, and the amenities were thoughtfully detailed. It's perfect for a family trip with kids; you could easily spend three full days just enjoying the hotel.
Transportation: Fearing traffic jams during National Day, I opted for the high-speed rail. The hotel offers a free shuttle service that requires advance booking, but since the frequency was low, I chose to take a taxi instead. It was very convenient, costing around 40-50 RMB and taking about half an hour to arrive.
Environment: Overall, it was excellent. Even during the National Day period, there were no queues or crowds. We arrived around noon, checked in, stored our luggage, had lunch, and our room was ready by about 2 PM. Because there was an issue with our original room, our butler Anna upgraded us to a deluxe lake view room. Not only did it have a superb view, but being on the 3rd floor also made it very convenient for dining and activities. The room's layout was well-designed, with a blackout curtain between the bathroom area and the bedroom, which was perfect for our child's afternoon nap. The bathtub was large, and disposable bathtub liners and bath salts were provided. It was spacious enough for the kids to take a shower in too. The bathroom and shower were separate. The only minor issue was a slight odor from the glass door being continuously sealed, but it wasn't a major problem. The balcony had a drying rack, and there was a large spare umbrella in the closet, showing great attention to detail.
Service: I added our butler Anna on WeChat, and I could contact her there for anything. Her service was excellent, and she responded very quickly. The hotel offers a wealth of activities, making it super suitable for families with kids. There are 2-3 free activities daily, plus indoor and outdoor kids' clubs, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sandpit. You'll run out of energy before you run out of things to do! The kids' club stays open until 9 PM, so you can even go for another play after dinner. Just remember to bring non-slip socks for both children and adults.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this 3-day, 2-night trip. I snagged a package deal that only cost an extra 300 RMB during the National Day period. It also included a complimentary travel photoshoot (which was easy to book since it was within the hotel) and water park access (which we didn't get to experience due to rain). The breakfast was also very rich. I would definitely come back here again on my next visit to Qiandao Lake.

EEkaterinaTwo of my friends and I stayed at the VOCO hotel over the Dragon boat's festival in May-June, 2025. All of us really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were comfortable, and even though they were not lake-view rooms, we could still see the lake from our windows.
Two of us cannot speak Chinese, and one of the managers of the hotel, whose name is Leon, took good care of us and helping us to check in and then provided a very comprehensive tour around the hotel showing all the facilities and making bookings for all kinds of activities (kayaking, hot air baloon, photoshoot) and dinners during our stay. I'd like to express my heartfelt thank you to Leon for his very kind help and assistance!
The food at the a dinner and breakfast buffets was plentiful and well cooked, as well as the traditional dishes in a Chinese restaurant. Traditionally cooked fish head is a must try! Big up to Leon for recommending it!
I can also vouch for all the activities that were provided by the hotel as part of the package with our rooms which included kayaking, a photo shoot and hot air ballooning. i'd like to express my gratification to the team that's arranges and carries out all the activities related to the photoshoot. Everything was really nicely done. We were really excited about this opportunity, and loved the photographs that we received as a result of it.
Finally, regarding the facilities, we really enjoyed the open terrace, especially at the sunset time, where we could see beautiful light and clouds over the lake. One of the best facilities is the gym that gives you a wonderful view, as well as the infinity pool, overlooking the lake. Overall, I think the hotel gives you the best value for money in this region, and is a brilliant combination of the great service, very good facilities and additional activities, provided as part of their package. I can highly recommend it!

On the way to the port, there are streets that sell food and ice cream. The room is clean, and the service is good. However, the toilet is a bit small.

In four days, two nights in Hangzhou and two nights in Qiandao Lake, I changed four hotels. I was more satisfied with Intercity and Novotel. The other two are ** what the hell, Huazhu is still quite reliable!

Sshaoping19The hotel's name isn't particularly memorable, but I booked a suite for two nights on short notice and was very impressed. The suite is over 100 square meters, offering ample space for two children to crawl around freely.
The hotel enjoys an excellent location, and its overall architectural design is quite impressive, with a resort-style layout where buildings artfully encircle a central landscape. The three outdoor swimming pools provide plenty of fun for the kids.
The service was surprisingly good. They offer a WeChat concierge service, and the staff at the front desk, Chinese restaurant, Western restaurant, and housekeeping were all very polite and service-oriented. Notably, the front desk service was significantly better than at the Voco hotel where I stayed for the previous two nights.
As for areas for improvement, the hotel's facilities feel a bit dated; they are certainly not new. Some exterior walls have climbing vegetation, and a few surface tiles are falling off. From the balcony of our luxury sea view suite, a couple of large trees unfortunately obstruct the view. The landscape design could definitely use an update. Inside the room, the blackout was inadequate, and we had to request technical staff to set up a temporary solution. Furthermore, it's a pity that the hotel's pier is abandoned, despite being in an excellent location.
Overall, the hotel boasts an excellent location and a well-designed architectural layout. If the facilities were renovated, the landscaping optimized, and the overall service procedures more systematized, it could easily become one of the leading hotels in Qiandao Lake in terms of overall quality and competitiveness.

MMaikezaiqiandaohuxiedaimaThis is my go-to hotel every time I visit. It boasts modern, industrial-chic design with a youthful vibe. The spacious, comfortable rooms offer fantastic lake views that really lift your spirits, and the soundproofing is excellent. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the mattresses are comfortable, and I always get a great night's sleep. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options; the Qiandao Lake Diaodiaobao is particularly delicious. Nearby, you'll find Beer Town and an Instagram-famous lighthouse lookout. Dining is also very convenient, with several local eateries close by. I highly recommend trying the local farmhouse pork!
