Hi, the people were nice and we had a pleasant stay. The restaurant and bar were not open, but they served us dinner and drinks just ourselves. Breakfast was nice. We were able to check in early, so that was a plus, but there was no one at the desk to help with us for a long time. The food was very good and its right next to the airport. There is no elevator so we had to leave our big luggage on the first floor.

I will start with the positives. The room was clean and quiet. The staff tried to be very helpful. There was no elevator and I had a lot of luggage. I hurt my back taking the luggage up two flights of stairs. I tried to get her to at least put me on the first floor but that did not happen. I came down for dinner in your restaurant and it was closed. The gentleman said he could fix me Bolognese and it would take about 30 minutes before he could do it. I thought you had transportation to the airport but you just call a taxi. My experience overall 2as not good and that is the reason for the poor rating. I am amazed at your overall rating for your hotel and cannot figure out how that happened.

Location for Dubrovnik Airport excellent, inbound and outbound aircraft insufficient noise to be a problem. Hotel was very willing to shuttle us to/from airport, 15 euro per trip was good value.
Swimming pool and upstairs lounge very pleasant, bar available.
Our stay was spoilt by the so-called restaurant claim and late checkout: the restaurant claim amounted to only a one-course meal being offered (30 euro), no choice of menu. Worst: late checkout offered for our later flight, no price nor times were quoted - we were asked to pay 107 euro for a 2-hour extension to our stay. Yes, we should have requested the price in advance, but the overall friendliness seemed to mean 'casual', no invoice offered on checking out, cash was strongly preferred - hence our feeling of being 'ripped-off'.

Rooms are large and clean. The breakfast was adequate. Nice pool that was refreshing after a long day of a sightseeing. Staff was a bit cranky. Shuttle to the airport was provided at a fee.

While the hotel is very close to the airport, new and very well maintained. I had an early morning flight. The airline told me to be at the airport 120 minutes before departure. The check-in clerk/ van driver argued this with me. I then paid $€17 for the van at his time in the morning. The next day (the day of my flight) 15 minutes before van departure he still had not come downstairs and so I called an Uber. I had initiated my own checkout by leaving my key on the desk with a post it, since no one was attending it in the morning.

Hotel does have potential but I wouldn’t stay again. Such a shame! Please be aware that the hotel manager makes up prices and charges what he wants - which is shocking really and is conning customers. Word of mouth is a big thing therefore having so many customers talking about the same thing isn’t going to help business in the future, they really should take into consideration- that people would return, if they have a good experience with them. And they would recommend the hotel to other family members and friends which would be extremely helpful for business as the hotel seems to be failing, unfortunately. There was no hand wash on the hotel room, no music in the bar (I would recommend having some music to create some sort of atmosphere) and not charge so much for beer or house wine which actually caused me to come out in an awful rash on my face and neck (I have photos) Staff were nice enough, especially the gentleman who served us at the bar, but as the manager is effectively making up prices, we wouldn’t go back. We would’ve booked the hotel again in the future If that didn’t happen but it did. If you read other reviews on several sites, a lot of customers are stating the same so we can’t all be wrong. Again, such a shame as they’ve lost customers in the future.

I traveled to Croatia alone for the first night and I was a little nervous but Nicolina was amazing and made me feel safe and comfortable. I would definately stay here again in the future.

We had a nice stay here! We appreciated the ride to the airport as well. It was clean and peaceful. The pool was being cleaned when we were there, but it looked very nice.

We chose Konavle due to its location to the Dubrovnik Airport. We were very pleased when we arrived. The owner/manager of the hotel met us at the front lobby and allowed us to check in nearly 2 hours early. Additionally he upgraded our room. He made us very happy to have chosen this hotel. The owner/manager carried all of our luggage to our room without asking a thing. The room was very nice with a delightful balcony. There is a great sitting room on the 2nd floor for reading or just chatting with others. A nice pool and sitting area is also right there. At first we were concerned about the traffic going right past the front of the hotel and very fast and noisy.
Surprisingly, the noise was not an issue. As evening approached the traffic also cut way down. They have a nice restaurant at the hotel. We did not eat there. Right across the street is a delightful pizza. Pizzeria TATA MATA. Excellent and very economical. Another reason we chose Hotel Konavle was the shuttle service to the airport. The airport is just 2 KM away. It would be walkable if there were walkways. We used this service and it was excellent but thought that 20 Euro was a bit high for such a close location. Nevertheless, we rate Hotel Konavle high in all areas.
