The Convo Lake Como

The lady that checked us in & showed to our room was very nice. Other than that, huge Disappointment! The place was 1 Star! I rented a 2 BED room, but the 2nd bed was NOT A BED. It was a very hard sofa with 3 inch foam on top of hard wood. The other bed was extremely hard also, no cushion whatsoever. It was very tough to sleep on such hard surfaces, even after O put a thin pillow under my back! I woke up all night long and my back in a LOT of pain. The bathroom smelled like mold AND sewer gases coming up from the shower drain since the shower did not drain properly. There was standing water in the shower as we quickly showered, so that the shower did not spill out onto the floor. There was also NO REAL AIR CONDITIONER! She told us the Air conditioner had “just stopped working last night” which was a total lie. They had brought in temporary A/C, stand alone units into the room, which had a big hose leading out the window to suck in fresh air, which meant the window was OPEN 24/7, all throughout the night. We heard the thunder, rain, police sirens, cars and all the noises from outside. She also had a Floor standing Fan in the room. My sister was still hot all night long despite the “temporary A/C unit inside the room, since the window had to be open all night to run the A/C. The renovations inside the hotel were very shoddy Inexperienced DIY. I would have never rented this hotel if I knew it didn’t have a working A/C or a shower plumbing that was all backed up! The shower was pretty gross! I looked in the other rooms this morning & they all had “temporary A/C units” inside the rooms. The A/C has not been working for a LONG time, and doubtful if it ever had A/C, since there were NO Vents and NO Thermostats! We paid for breakfast with the room & were also told we had to walk 3 minutes away to go get our breakfast at a different location!

This was a lovely hotel near to Como Lago station and really near the funicular and the ferries. Isabella was amazing, so lovely and helpful. Convenient location for this beautiful city.

We had an amazing stay at the Convo! It is situated just one block from the lake and multiple restaurants and cafes. A short walk to the town for shopping and more restaurants. Isabella was wonderful and so accommodating. Bring euros or wire prior to arrival because they do not have any credit card capabilities there at the moment. We will definitely recommend the convo for any friends or family visiting Como!

Fantastic service! Fantastic service! The hotel itself is a bit old, and the standard isn't the best, but the fantastic service and location more than makes up for it.

We spent a night at this small hotel in a quick trip to Lake Como. It was affordable and perfect for our stay. Very clean and with the essentials we needed for our short stay. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. Isabella was very responsive to our texts and offered an amazing customer service. The rest of the staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Thanks so much!

Great Hotel We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location was central, the room was comfortable, and Isabella was so accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake Como area.
