"I hereby express my opinion on the lack of empathy by rated the customer experience at zero on a five-point scale. The day before, I had been robbed of Modena, losing my ID, driver's license and credit cards. I also contacted other hotels in Turin, Stuttgart and Berlin, where I booked accommodation during this trip. Each of these hotels immediately canceled the reservation, but this one did not. I appealed the decision, saying I could send testimony from the Bologna police, but still to no avail."

"The room was arranged on the first floor, facing the road. There were two emergency exits hidden behind the curtains, and one of the doors was not closed. The soundproofing was very poor, and I could hear people chatting and traffic outside at night. This was the worst hotel to stay in when traveling in Europe. It felt like I was living on the side of a main road."

"The service is disgusting. We arrived at 3:30, the room was not ready, we waited another 40 minutes to check in. We had a birthday, a month before arrival we contacted the hotel and asked to prepare balloons and a cake with a candle. The day before they reminded us again. In the end, on the day itself, they said that there would be no balloons, but they would bring a cake in the evening, then they said that there would be no cake, they would bring a birthday cake with a candle. In the end, they brought a small tartlet with berries without a candle and without balloons. I do not recommend the hotel for your birthday. In addition, we paid 54 euros for parking for three nights! I do not understand how a 4-star hotel can charge for parking. Despite the fact that on the day of check-in they said that parking was free - incompetent employees. There is free parking nearby. Without a car - you should not stay in this hotel, too far from all the attractions."

"The studio was located in the old town, 9 mins away by feet from the Saint Mary Assunta Cathedral and 12 mins away by feet from the ferries' piers. Self check in was possible (though I was offline, so opted for standard check in). Great staff. The studio was spacious, clean, with all the amenities I needed. Bed and pillows were very compfy. Wifi was available for free. Self check out was simple."

"I had booked four or five hotels across Italy for the same trip and around the same dates. Due to an extremely serious and deeply personal situation beyond our control, we were unable to travel. Every other hotel showed basic humanity and professionalism by offering either a full refund, a partial refund, a credit, or flexible dates. Palazzo San Gortardo was the only hotel that refused every possible solution. No refund, no partial refund, no credit, and no option to move the stay. Their complete lack of empathy was shocking. I called the hotel repeatedly and also contacted Radisson directly, yet neither offered any meaningful support or took responsibility. Even worse, once the hotel staff recognised my surname and reservation, my calls were cut. The General Manager, David, was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely incapable of handling a genuine customer concern professionally. I regularly stay at high-end resorts and book with reputable luxury hotel groups, so I understand what proper hospitality and customer service should look like. What I experienced here was the complete opposite. The lack of service from the hotel was appalling, but the fact that Radisson itself was equally unwilling to help made the situation even worse. After this experience, I will categorically never book Palazzo San Gortardo again, and I would be extremely reluctant to ever book another Radisson property. This was, without question, one of the worst hotel-service experiences I have ever encountered."

"Reception staff Samiya was brilliant - very accommodating and gave us a few travel tips. The guy at the bar from Sri Lanka was brilliant aswell. Hotel includes a car park on the rear. Location is 30 mins drive from Como itself via car, however roads are a nightmare to drive on around the area. Not much to do around the area itself, you need a car to stay here. Rooms - adequate. Air con needs to be controlled via reception. You call them and tell them what temp you want. Rooms have shampoo / shower gel / hand wash / hair dryer. Breakfast is not great, very basic. You get patisserie and bread. In the restaurant area there are lots of FLIES!!! The hotel could put nets over the food to make this a little better or put AC on in the restaurant area to make the fly situation a little better."

"Average, not worth the money. Inconveniently organized space, not enough closet. Those who have suitcases will not have enough space for them. In fact, the main advantage is the location, it is excellent and ideal. Also new plumbing, large shower, new furniture. This is where the advantages end. There was always something missing in the kitchen - a board, a corkscrew. Catastrophically poor sound insulation. You can hear it from above, from the side, from the hall. If someone decides to hang themselves, it will be completely bad and earplugs will not help."
