We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay at An Chúirt Hotel in Donegal as a family of 4, and it truly was a trip to remember. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is set in the most stunning location, with breathtaking views of Mount Errigal right outside. Waking up to that view each morning was such a treat! The kids were in heaven with the leisure centre they could have spent the entire trip there if we let them while one of our favourite family highlights was visiting the Errigal View Pet Zoo next door. It was such a fun and unique experience that really added to the stay. Food wise, we were blown away by Fara Og’s. Every meal was packed with flavour, beautifully presented, and served by the friendliest staff. It was honestly some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for a family friendly hotel with amazing views, fantastic food, and plenty to keep both kids and adults happy, we can’t recommend An Chúirt Hotel enough. We’re already planning our next trip back.

A most enjoyable few days spent with friends in great comfort and a simply stunning setting. From a warm welcome on arrival to nothing was a bother at any point during our stay. Well done to all the staff you are doing a great job and made everyone feel at home. See you again soon

Wonderful hotel set in stunning countryside in the picturesque Gweedore area of Donegal. The staff are warm and friendly, the rooms are bright and spacious and spotlessly clean and the food is hearty and plentiful. There is a lovely bar on site and the view of Mount Errigal from the gardens is amazing. Great place to stay as a base to tour and discover the delights of this wonderful county.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The hotel interior is beautiful with fabulous artwork throughout. We were not there for pleasure, but the staff made our stay so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. We are in the hotel for breakfast and Fara Ógs for dinner and both were wonderful.

For the price paid, the hotel was a disappointment. First the good points. The hotel foyer is very well appointed, spacious with lots of seating options, and tea/coffee on request (on some days). The room was large and fairly well apointmed if a little dark. The bed comfort was decent enough. The breakfast was standard. For the first two days I had a very good impression of the hotel as the staff were friendly and attentive. But on the third day everything changed as a wedding took over the hotel and occupied the minds of the entire staff. Non-wedding guests were forgotten and dismissed. Tea in the foyer as experienced on previous days was not available on the wedding day and no alternative suggestion was offered. We went to the small bar which had plenty of space but no one was able or willing to boil a kettle. There is no excuse for ignoring the needs of guests who were not attending the wedding. I would have said something to the staff at the time but their lack of care was a bit of a shock after good experiences on previous days, and on checkout the next morning, the receptionist was more interested in chatting to other staff than to enquire whether guests had a good experience. So my advice to future guests, check if there's a wedding on and if there is, move hotels.

A birthday treat with friends taking advantage of their dinner B&B offer. Using. Having checked in and wishing to book a table for dinner I was informed that The Hotel restaurant “The Duck” is opened for Sunday lunch only! Dinner was served in the adjacent pub and pub grub was not what I anticipated for my birthday. I was the told I couldn’t book a table in the pub it was on a first come first served basis but there was plenty of space. We waited an hour for a table while non residents were in front of the que. A noisy pub full of kids and the table next to us had a baby that cried all evening. Lots of confusion by staff regarding the offer we were taking advantage of. We asked if the complimentary Prosecco could be exchanged for soft drinks and told “No”. We asked for a jug of water and were told the “water was off” so had to purchased individual bottled water although there appeared to be plenty of water to make up the numerous jugs of squash for the kids. Next morning a buffet breakfast was served in The Duck restaurant which was a canteen style offering and again we had hoped for a table service breakfast offering something other than dried up bacon and burnt croissants would be available. The hotel itself, a Spa Hotel is rather dated and no doubt will received a governments paid refurbishment once they stop providing accommodation for refugees and again this was something I was unaware of until I arrived. There is a small zoo a few minutes walk from the hotel so great for young kids! Room service charge is €10. No fridge in room so the bottles of complimentary water in room was less than palatable and paying €10 for ice was not an option for us. The large seating area near reception was for seating only and one couldn’t avail of tea or coffee etc. a very disappointing experience. Next day we at dinner at Sweeneys in Dungloe which offered excellent food, great staff, modern and staff could do enough for us. So all is well the end well but no thanks to An Chuirt.

Have never wrote a review for a hotel!. Went to visit my eldest daughter who was staying at Loch an nuir few miles away. My daughter left her expensive Iphone behind in the room. We left the hotel and made our way home to Belfast. On arriving home we pinged the phones location to the hotel. After going back and forth with the hotel now for a week the phone was not found. Although they did "hope the phone turned up". The phone will not turn up as we are in Belfast and the phone is in Donegal. I can do uncomfortable beds, average food I'm not one to complain about the little things but a missing iphone. No coming back from that. Dishonesty! I have passed this on to school message board to warn people to stay away. Have a word with your staff!
