Yuntang Luxury Resort Hotel Dali Reviews

Yuntang is near Erhai gate of the Dali ancient city so it’s easy for drivers to drop off (but the ancient city roads are very narrow and can easily get stuck in a jam). The hotel location is good as it’s accessible to a lot of shops and it’s not a far walk into the alley. Thankfully there wasn’t much noise heard in the room even though the ancient city can be very happening and loud especially at some eateries and shops. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room which is very spacious and feels like a getaway villa resort. It’s clean and comfortable, with a cute tea drinking area which can double as a place to put our luggage. The breakfast provided is homely and comforting. We were allowed to leave our luggage after checking out and sit around the 1st floor area which has a few cozy sitting spots. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

This is a lovely place. Guesthouse vibe, clean, photogenic, every detail is well designed and placed. A combination of traditional Chinese and Minimalism. The staff was lovely and helpful. I loved the open laundry room on the roof. It felt so functional, yet almost romantic.

Very clean and strategic location hotel with great breakfast! We love their breakfast with nice drinks! Very convenient to find food and walk around the ancient town. You dont even need to find public toilet at ancient town as you can easily walk back to the hotel! Will definitely stay here again next time. Taxi can stop right at the hotel doorstep. Dont even need to carry heavy luggages!

Overall, our stay at this hotel was a pleasant experience. the walk from the bus stop to the hotel was a bit difficult with our luggage due to the uneven road. Nevertheless, the hotel is in old town and owner was super friendly with food and places recommendations. The room was clean and the heated bed was a welcomed feature in the cold weather. We highly recommend this hotel, and advise informing the owner in advance about your arrival so they can arrange for assistance with luggage.

Excellent location, shopping street at the door step. There is a pub opposite the hotel. Not too noisy as the hotel room sound proofing is good. Hotel staff have recommended us a list of restaurants and cafe. Excellent recommendation. Have visited both 喜洲and 双廊. Prefer 喜洲 than 双廊. Avoid passing 下关in the evening. Massive traffic congestion.

Loved our stay here. There are only stairs, but the staff will help you with your luggage. It is also only 1 min walk to Dali Ancient Town

This cute little hotel was perfect for the price. The rooms had comfortable beds, and the staff made sure that your stay was perfect, helping me when I lost a bag, organising some SF and generally helping us enjoy our trip. Its location is perfect for exploring Dali.

The place is located in the Ancient City. It is a walking distance to every part in the Ancient City. The receptionist is very kind and warm despite of our language barrier but we managed to communicate via Wechat Translator.

The hotel serves a simple but delightful breakfast, and I found it to be just perfect for starting the day. It’s not overly extravagant, but it’s incredibly satisfying. One of the best things about the resort is its proximity to bars and local nightlife—just a short walk away, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of Gu Cheng until late. The staff at Yutang were attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting Dali. It offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and warmth.

We arrived in Dali close to 11pm but staff was still around to assist us with check in, which we were very grateful for. The hotel was amazing - great location, sparkling clean, complete with all the amenities you would need after a long day of travel. Every hotel staff we encountered was extremely hospitable. Highly recommend this place if you’re ever in Dali!
