"During peak season in Dali, hotels are quite expensive. Since I was on a business trip, I chose a hotel close to the train station, and it turned out to be a great choice. First, the location is super convenient, just a 6-7 minute walk from the train station, easily accessible by crossing a pedestrian bridge. The train station also has buses going to the ancient city. Plus, that pedestrian bridge area is a transportation hub with many public transport routes. Second, the hotel is very clean, and the rooms are excellent, even better than some older five-star hotels I've stayed in. Third, there's a laundry room on the second floor with both washers and dryers, which is perfect for long-term travelers, especially during the summer."

"Absolutely loved the Wabi-sabi style king room! The sophisticated minimalist decor is elegant and timeless. The king-size bed was super comfortable for a great night's sleep, and the window-side table and chairs were perfect for enjoying the view and relaxing. The facilities are excellent, the bathroom was clean and fresh, and both lighting and ventilation were superb. The environment is quiet and refined, and the cleanliness was meticulous. It's my top choice for any trip! The Italian aesthetic is fully embraced; the room is clean and comfortable, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The courtyard common area is cozy and relaxing. The overall living experience was fantastic, definitely worth returning for! The location here is excellent. It's right by the Erhai Gate, and nearby there are snack shops, convenience stores, dining options, and even makeup services. It's also very close to Erhai Gate, with many car rental options available. It’s a great base for exploring!"

"I chose 'Escape Time' on a whim for my solo trip to Dali, and it exceeded all my expectations! The location is perfect – quiet yet just a few minutes' walk from the South Gate of the Old Town. It's super convenient for exploring the night market and renting a car to go to Erhai Lake. Being away from the main street's traffic noise, I slept incredibly soundly at night. The dorm beds come with full blackout curtains, individual reading lights, and lockable storage, so you can draw the curtain for your own private space. The mattress is soft and silent, so turning over won't disturb your roommates. The entire place has air conditioning and separate wet/dry bathrooms, and everything is meticulously clean. The public courtyard is lush with greenery and perfect for photos, and the lobby has a PS5 and board games. There's open-air movie screening every night. The front desk service is thoughtful and attentive, and they even help with itinerary planning. The all-in-one washer and dryer completely solve laundry problems for long trips. This place offers incredible value for money. As a solo traveler, staying here felt warm and secure. I'll definitely choose this place again when I come back to Dali!"

"We are very grateful for our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B. We stayed here for 15 nights and felt very comfortable throughout. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed: our suitcases were brought upstairs, and we checked in from our room, which was a lovely gesture. The place is picturesque, with a pond and wooden elements throughout the building. We had the honeymoon room, which had everything we needed: a covered balcony for rainy days, a comfortable bed, a desk for work, a modern toilet and shower with hot water, and even a full tea set. We felt well taken care of, and any issues were met with an immediate response. After a brief misunderstanding, we were also given a wonderful gift of chocolates and delicious coffee, which made us feel especially welcome. For breakfast, the lovely manager always asked what we liked to eat and was incredibly accommodating. We could choose from rice noodles, porridge, eggs, fresh corn, fruit, and, on some occasions, rose cakes. We were satisfied, though for some ‘early risers’ it could be a quite late breakfast, starting at 8.30 am until 10.00 am. It was also great that guests could use the coffee machine, fridge, and kitchen during the stay. We truly have only positive things to say about our stay, and we highly recommend this place to other travellers. Dali is very touristy, which was the only tiring factor at times, but that has nothing to do with this B&B."

It's quiet despite being central, so I had no trouble sleeping at night. Great value for money, I highly recommend this place if you're staying near the Ancient City in Dali!"

"This hotel is located not far from Dali Old Town. It's very upscale and has a great design aesthetic. The public areas are incredibly photogenic! Compared to other hotels and guesthouses in Dali, the rooms are much larger and more spacious. The quality of the amenities is also excellent. I originally planned to go to Longkan Pier, but the hotel was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave, so I canceled that trip. Breakfast seemed to be a set menu, but I slept through it because the bed was so comfortable, so I didn't get to try it. However, they did ask for my breakfast selection the day before check-in. After checking in, I received very detailed check-in instructions, and the moment I checked out, I received a farewell message. Their service management is really well done. Next time I'm in Dali, I'm definitely staying at Hezhu again!"

The hotel is nestled on the hillside of Ideal Utopia, with blue and white cave-style architecture built into the mountain. As soon as you open the door, you're greeted with an unobstructed panoramic view of Erhai Lake, with the Cangshan Mountains shrouded in mist. In the evening, you can watch the sunset paint the lake, and in the morning, wake up to the sea breeze and sunrise – the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The rooms are spacious, and the King Koil mattress ensures a super comfortable sleep. Details like Hansgrohe bathroom fixtures, a Dyson hairdryer, and smart temperature control all speak to the high quality. The wet and dry areas are clean and tidy, the mini-bar is complimentary and restocked, and even the toiletries are thoughtfully selected. Our dedicated butler provided one-on-one service throughout our stay, from airport/station transfers to check-in guidance. They were incredibly responsive to our needs and even thoughtfully recommended lesser-known photo spots and sightseeing routes. Breakfast was rich and varied, offering both Yunnan local snacks and Western dishes. We also received welcome fruit daily and a sweet soup before bed – so warm and attentive. The infinity pool in the public area is fantastic for photos, with its pure white backdrop against the blue sea and sky, making every shot Instagram-worthy. You can enjoy the stunning mountain and sea views without the crowds. There's no excessive commercial noise here, just a tranquil and relaxing vacation vibe. The facilities, service, and views are all top-notch, making it the highlight of our Dali trip. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Dali, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake in an immersive way!"
