We had a lovely stay, everyone enjoyed and had a great time. Loved the way you'll have kept the natural environment undisturbed, as much as possible. I think it's a perfect balance which created a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The food was very tasty. Staff at the hotel were friendly and provided a great service.

From the moment we arrived on 13th of April for a 2 day stay at Amara Forest Hotel, we were absolutely delighted by the setting of the Hotel. Nestled in lush greenery and surrounded by the serene sounds of nature, we immediately felt peace of mind and serenity. The atmosphere is peaceful, the air is fresh, and every corner of the property exudes charm and tranquility. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable – blending rustic elegance with modern comfort. The room was large more than enough space for a family of three. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. Whether it was the seamless check-in, the personalized touches in the room, or the helpful recommendations, their hospitality stood out. The food was very delicious and flavorsome with fresh, local ingredients and rich, authentic flavors. We especially loved the breakfast spread – a perfect mix of variety, taste, and presentation. We need to thank the Management for organizing the Avurudu events on 14th April which was arranged perfectly by the staff with games, food and activities for both children and adults. We had an entertaining and enjoyable time taking part in the events. Amara Forest Hotel is not just a place to stay – it’s a place to remember. We left with full hearts, relaxed minds, and a strong desire to return. Highly, highly recommend! An experience of nature nestled brilliantly within the jungles of Sigiriya. The accommodation is very homely and blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. The staff are the most warm and hospitable people you can find. They can’t do enough to make your stay absolutely enjoyable. Very highly recommended.

Location was beautiful and the grounds and pool were very well kept . The rooms were cleaned daily but the bin never emptied even though it was over flowing . We asked for more water but were only allowed 500 ml each for a day . In this climate and the fact you can’t drink tap water it was not enough . The staff were not trained to a standard I would expect from a 4 star hotel . They showed no signs of being helpful and would walk in front of you expecting you to move . They didn’t make you feel valued . The food had very poor choice again not anywhere near any of the other hotels we stayed in . I would give this hotel a 2/2.5 rating at most which is a shame as the setting of the hotel and the rooms were lovely
