I made a reservation around Dambulla to rest one more day in Sigiriya, and they let me check in 2 hours early. The staff were really friendly, and the owner of the restaurant next to the pool was really kind. They also provided room service, so I was able to rest well. The hotel was spacious, so it was nice to walk around, but I recommend going to the treetop. It would be really nice to do yoga there. I wanted to go to the pool, but there were too many Westerners, lol. They booked a taxi for me the next morning and packed breakfast for me, so I was grateful. The room was the same as in the picture and was very spacious.

We had a lovely stay, everyone enjoyed and had a great time. Loved the way you'll have kept the natural environment undisturbed, as much as possible. I think it's a perfect balance which created a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The food was very tasty. Staff at the hotel were friendly and provided a great service.

A quiet tranquil place to stop over when visiting Sigiriya and other local tourist destinations. The hotel had the necessary amenities, large restaurant serving good food, a decent bar and large pool. The staff were friendly and welcoming, any shortcomings were promptly dealt with. The sound of crickets & birds typical of a forest environment didn’t affect our sleep, nor did the couple of elephants who appeared in the early hours near the front gates! We would recommend Amaara for a short stay.

An experience of nature nestled brilliantly within the jungles of Sigiriya. The accommodation is very homely and blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. The staff are the most warm and hospitable people you can find. They can’t do enough to make your stay absolutely enjoyable. Very highly recommended.

Location was beautiful and the grounds and pool were very well kept . The rooms were cleaned daily but the bin never emptied even though it was over flowing . We asked for more water but were only allowed 500 ml each for a day . In this climate and the fact you can’t drink tap water it was not enough . The staff were not trained to a standard I would expect from a 4 star hotel . They showed no signs of being helpful and would walk in front of you expecting you to move . They didn’t make you feel valued . The food had very poor choice again not anywhere near any of the other hotels we stayed in . I would give this hotel a 2/2.5 rating at most which is a shame as the setting of the hotel and the rooms were lovely

The Area is very beautiful and very nature bound. They take care of the environmemt and keep things as genuine as possible. The staff, the managing department and owner are very friendly and helpfull. They have authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with a outstanding Chef / Chefs and a nice dining area. The entirety is just great. Beautifull rooms and Poolside I will gladly visit this hotel again and can highly recommend it. Thanks for giving me and my family a great time !

I've never felt so comfortable in a hotel. The service is outstanding. All the staff are extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. There was a wide selection every day, including many vegetarian/ vegan options. The hotel is located in the middle of the forest, which makes you feel very connected to nature. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our every request was immediately accommodated, and everyone made every effort to make our stay a wonderful experience. We will definitely come back!
