À bit difficult to find, room in the basement and noisy but friendly staff and good price.

I absolutely recommend that place for many reasons, and especially because of the lovely staff. Awesome!!

I was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries. The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included. The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride. My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room. The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily. If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn. *I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out. **I arrived in Datong from Beijing Daxing International Airport

Hotel is traditional Chinese style with many lantern and decorations. Room is air-conditioning damage and many hair in bathroom. Should be cleaned carefully.

It is a chain store located in the ancient city. The room is very clean, with a tea table and various mascot ornaments. The layout of the hall is very Datong-style and exquisite, with a rich Datong historical heritage. The boss is a beautiful woman with a pleasant and gentle voice, and she also gave me a bottle of Shanxi vinegar as a reward.

The service is very good. It happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival. The feeling of home is very warm. The local moon cakes are delicious and the fruits are also good. I will come again next time.

The room layout is very good, the courtyard house is converted into a homestay, and it is very close to the attractions. The room I stayed in this time is on the underground floor. It is recommended that you don't hear the underground parking lot directly when you go there, you can go directly up to the hotel.

Clean room, good service, friendly boss

The location is very convenient, right in the ancient city, parking is also convenient, there is a patio on the second floor, very unique, the room is big enough. The boss also gave me a fruit plate and a set of small tea sets. The next day, the aunt at the front desk wanted to give it to me, but I said it had already been given to me. It was so warm. I recommend staying in this hotel when you come to Datong Ancient City!
